Pseudo rock refers to an artist who is not generally considered to play within the rock genre. The artist may consider themselves rock or may have rock tendencies but popular opinion is that they are not. Some may consider such artists to be 'fake' or 'false'.
Pseudo = false, pretending to be something it's not.
Rock = Popular genre of music.
