Vaporwave is a joke, while retrowave is a legit electronic music genre where musicians try to emulate the sound of 80s adding modern touch. It's also called synthwave.

Oh cool. So retrowave is even more defined within synthwave as being like Miami Vice/tropical climate/palm trees & testarossa themed? LOL. This will drive a lot of music aficionados crazy who take genre definition as Serious Mutha Fuggin' Business. **ALSO NOTE** album covers have to feature pastel colors like mauve, seafoam green and baby blue or it's not Retrowave. (!)
