Ultimo Mondo Cannibale has awesome moments. Silly vocals kind of distract from the songs at times, but overall I understand why it's such a respected record.

The filthy poser wanted so much a "verified" Spotify page he stole one, still, actual Impetigo Pages (Both o f them) have over 11k monthly listeners (The one with a few relaese) and 7k monthly listeners (the one with only one album there), his lame poserism has around 5k and loosing them daily.

I remember checking them out in 2006 and I had their first album. I liked them, but never got more into them as time went by. Yiffyskunk420 mentioned this band on the official Cannibal Corpse forum back then. I had to check them out. As more time went by, I got more into Impetigo around 2008-2009.

Impetigo is goregrind, not grindcore. The two styles might be related, but their music is quite distinct to the trained ears of select people such as ourselves. "Goregrind deviates from typical Grindcore in three aspects: the persistent use of very low pitch shifted vocals; the willingness to employ more mid-tempo rhythms rather than rampant full throttle speed; and an almost exclusive lyrical obsession with medical terminology, pathological conditions, and violence upon the human body." I consider them proto-goregrind in the similar style as early Carcass, but with more Autopsy styled death metal influence and lyrics focused more on horror themed gore rather than medical/pathological gore.
