new album is AWESOME. instantly ordered a copy once i heard the first two songs. lots of Devin Townsend influences in the expansive, heavy and proggy atmosphere but it has its own identity too.

Nerve is, for sure, a strong melodeath release. By the way, Marionette does a great job!

How on earth are they mediocre? For a Melodeath band, they are rather unique. Really, they're pretty unique overall. I haven't heard anything else quite like this. If you don't hear it, then you need to listen even more. What album did you listen to?

V meant that as in "these guys are an awful melo-death band." After seeing you spam them all over the place i was pretty taken aback by how mediocre they are.

A certain fanboy keeps mentioning this band everywhere I went. Well, I can see how people can enjoy this band's sound. Strong vocals and melodic but just not my thing unfortunately

And furthermore, why the hell are you comparing Marionette to EToS and Therion? Marionette sounds NOTHING like either of those bands. They are KINDA in the same alley as After Forever, but even they sound nothing like Marionette. And they CERTAINLY doesn't sound like Versailles. You are so far off track here, I wonder if you have taken your time to actually listen to this band at all.

Crap, I meant ENEMIES! I Think ENEMIES is their best album. In my opinion, at least. The atmospheric stuff is one of the reasons I fell in love with this band. Especially The Lie, which still remains one of, if not my very favorite songs by the band. I do wish there was some interludes on Nerve, though, like on previously mentioned The Lie and Unman, but I still enjoy it.

I do agree Spite is still their best, but I like Nerve as well. Especially The Last, which goes into the catalogue of my favorite Marionette tracks instantly. That song is cathy as FUCK!
