Songs like these are what made the Beatles special. Yeah, compared to the maestros of sitar like Ravi Shankar and Rais Khan the playing here might seem very basic, but imagine putting on a Western rock record and hearing this in 1966. And from there, more people became interested in sitar and world music in general and more minds were expanded. Thank you George

and George represents just 1/3 (1/4th technically) of their songwriting capacity, John and Paul weren't on the Indian stuff at all so you are getting completely different sounds from their songs yet every bit as groundbreaking in their own way and everything all fits together so beautifully. Easily the greatest band of all time
