Same life, just a different job :) It's a music in the office job for me, complete with speakers, joys of a small geeky office!

Nice charts! If you're into dream pop, you should listen to Phantom Vibration (very chill/beach house-esque) Download the new ep from sound cloud for free! http://soundcloud.com/phantom-vibration Happy listening!

I just want to pay respects to your musical tastes. Always loved the Cocteaus and probably prefer Frank Black's stuff more than the Pixies ! Have you tried "Gypsy Blood" by Doll by Doll ? ;0)

Hi, Alison. I just visited London last month and stopped by SoHo Square to see the memorial bench for Kirsty. Still miss her very much.

nice! really hope you like prolapse. shoegaze meets post punk meets noise rock meets scottish guy - girl combo yelling at each other; absolutely sublime stuff in my opinion. i do recommend italian flag, one of the most underrated records i've ever come across. also, <3 auteurs. luke haines is a deranged genius.

That said I'm thinking of going to Fuel on Friday night? Buy you a half of shandy and have a gossip about music and life?

As tempting as Billy is I'm seeing Interpol the night before and I'm not sure I'd have the energy for 2 gigs in a row (and after Interpol may have tinitus).

Jealous you managed to get Billy Bragg tickets (although I've seen him quite a few times) however I've already spent my pocket money on gigs for the next few months. No such thing as too old by the way ;) It's just having a day job that gets a bit of a pain :/

Glad you've enjoyed some of my rants. When you say bumped into you mean online? I do spend far too much time doing that (you can find me under the same name on twitter too obviously ;). I notice you've got yourself down as going to see Does It Offend You Yeah on the events but there haven't been any tickets on sale? Interested as I'd really love to have been able to see them (missed them last tour). Maybe see you at the Kate Nash gig :)

They were ace! Very geeky indeed. And there were two supports - didn't see the first one but reckon you'd like - she's called Lucy Rose and does their backing vocals and then we did see a bit of Melodica Melody & Me, the other support, who were quite folky and good. Liked St Phillips too - pews not that comfy but it has great accoustics and cheap booze sold by the church wardens!

If you're exploring M83 the most recent album Saturdays = Youth is the most accessible one and has a really nice 80's bratpack movie reference throughout.

That's the attitude! :-) How did you get your top albums generator looking all shiny like that? Is that what happens when you throw money at it?

Hello yourself! Pleased you found my noughties list interesting. It would be remiss of me not to humbly suggest you begin your investigating with The Blue Nile, if you're not familiar with them...unless, of course, the idea of mopey Scottish synth pop doesn't appeal, for some reason.
