Yeah, too bad all these decent NYHC bands started sucking after one album. It seems like most anything released in the eighties in NY is at least decent, after that it becomes a total shitshow.

I was messing around with audacity, yeah, someone did slow it down. I found a regular version. Trenton's pretty goddamn far to bike in the middle of winter. If I decide to go, it'll be a train. As for that band Totality... yeah, they're pretty basic generic metalcore/deathcore. Maybe they lean slightly more towards Black Dahlia Murder than Suicide Silence, but still... pretty uninspired.

After listening to pretty much all of The Swarm's material, I have to say.. pretty kickass. I would say it's on the same level as Left for Dead. One question though, was their album (Parasitic Skies) ever rerecorded or remastered? I dled it and one track was glitchy, so I got a different version and it sounds pretty different. Like maybe they downtuned their guitars or something. The other thing I thought maybe someone slowed it down but only a little bit, like 5% or something.

Not the drummer's project? I thought he was the one really into black metal. Anyway, it's okay. I checked out the Swarm too, could be cool, need to listen more.

Metalfag? I think you've been hanging around b9 too much or something, or maybe lambgoat. Say what you will about "Touche Amore," they're way more raw & hardcore than goddamn Title Fight. What's next, gonna be listening to some "easycore" shit? Honestly, to me TF sounds 2, maybe three steps removed from Blink 182 or something. Just sayin.

Has some cool parts, a little weird though. I don't stage dive, and Vitus doesn't have much of a stage anyway.

I'm not sure you ever sent it to me. You're talking about the columbia grind band? French hardcore? Brooklyn "hardcore/metal"?

I actually saw Starkweather once, they were opening for fucking Emperor of all bands. No one cared (including me), because fucking EMPEROR were going on next. This doesn't sound half bad though.

I like the Suburban Scum/Mercyful Fate mashup the singer has on. The band looks like typical Jersey douches though. Is Dystrophy-dude actually going to be writing material with them, or is he just filling in for the time being?

Also I just came across this.. https://www.facebook.com/events/407698802628359/ No one comes to his shows anyway, does he really think people are gonna show up without having any idea who's playing?

I checked out that band Disgrace.. not liking it at all. God King starts off like Madball or something, then it goes into this weird metalcore (not the good kind) part. And Self ends with this weird Meshuggah-ism. Seagrave doing the artwork don't mean shit either, he did artwork for the Devil Wears Prada once. Just cause it's hardcore doesn't mean you have to like it dude.

Lots of longhairs in the crowd. Also looks like one of the secrets bands at the afterparty is Xibalba, thanks to Terrell's detective skills.

I knew there was some subsubgenre of Belgium hardcore, but don't know much about it. Is Rise and Fall a H8000 band? Congress I checked out a couple of songs, not really diggin it. I'm listening to Liar (the band)... better but still not fast enough. Kreator you say? Unless I'm listening to the wrong songs, these dudes need to up the bpm.

New Homewrecker is awesome, the vocals are a bit weird though. A bit too much reverb on them, like in oldschool death metal. Foundation have about an even amount of riffs and mosh parts, and their mosh parts aren't overly generic and cliche. I'm still undecided on the first day of Power of the Riff. Is Alpha & Omega any good? And last.. a "trailer" for the new Cryptopsy album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pTvx9kNQEk

Yes, before I was listening to the brutal death Liturgy. Matti Way + Brodequin = awesome. I got Homewrecker. It rules (probably, haven't had the chance to listen to it yet). As for that Xibalba show.. "No crowd killing... fighting.. bad attitudes" yeah, sure. They only chance they'll stop that is if this place actually has security (hint: it won't). Besides, Schenectady is way too fucking far. I went to Poughkeepsie once and that was like two hours. Just gonna go to power of the riff... Repulsion and Winter back to back. who do you think that "special guest" is?

Early Graves is cool, Skinfather is okay. For that other band.. I think you meant to write "melodic" hardcore. Way too melodic for me. Homewrecker.. that's just a review. Still says "coming soon" on A389's page.

You heard Trash Talk got signed to Odd Future's label? Weird as hell. Here's Territory, http://territory.bandcamp.com/album/sic-semper-tyrannis I also found that asian kid's last.fm.. his about me is an astonishing load of self aggrandizing horseshit, its hilarious. I especially like the gem that starts "Some would be brazen enough.." which basically means he doesn't like black people, obviously. Actually, to be honest it's quite impressive he managed to compress all of that smug self satisfaction and "misanthropy" into like 2 paragraphs.

What I've been digging lately.. http://thefalselight.bandcamp.com/album/false-light -- http://nightexas.bandcamp.com/ -- http://dnfpunx.bandcamp.com/. New Full of Hell songs are awesome, and the new Territory album is pretty decent holy terrorish hardcore.

Sex Prisoner = good. Man Amongst Wolves.. don't like the blastbeats, weird sounding. Too polished also. Losing Skin, pretty sure I came across them at some point, wasn't really feeling it. Last, officially do not like New Lows. Sorry.

That's seriously all in one day? "Home early," no way. That's... twenty seven fucking bands. And starting at 1 PM? Unless they all have 10-15 minute sets, shits gonna start running late pretty quickly. I don't even recognize the majority of those bands. Hivesmasher is alright.. maybe Dysentery would be nice to see too, but goddamn. I'm guessing the majority of those bands are shitty deathcore bands or just plain shitty. So really it would just be the novelty of seeing Suffocation and Dying Fetus together, which we will be (technically) seeing anyway at MDF. Revocation I like too, but I would not be looking forward to watching Dysentery and then having to sit through another four or five bands. Though apparently this band is opening the NYC show, which is hilarious and sad all at the same time.

About the band, no I don't know them, they sound pretty crappy though. I've seen the band two of them are in now, Ambient Death. They sucked. And about Ringworm, apparently that was misreporting, Ringworm are only playing one date it seems. Sucks.
