i started listening to the New P's a few months ago - just in my car so I could hide that shameful secret; pssst, they are amazing! I just saw them at Pitchfork too, fairly close. They sounded as good as on CD! My only complaint is they didn't play end of medicine. I'm not going to Bela Fleck for sure yet; I actually need to listen to an album of his... and I totally dig your Mingus binge
