They've played here twice and I missed both gigs :/ Logistics,travel and intl. gig dates rarely work out conveniently in this country, lol. Thanks man, I'm amazed that there are many people on the internet with such eclectic tastes! Even your charts look great - feel free to recommend anything you find worth listening to - any genre :) I think new AIC vocals have grown me a lot. I like almost all their material - as long it has those amazing harmonised vocals with dark,sludgy riffs and fantastic melodies - either AIC line-up works great for me,lol. Cheers!

just speaking my mind! haha oh my god, yes, i cannot stop. i used to really like a handful of their songs but never really ventured into listening to a whole album but once i did, there was no going back hah. i'm a huge fan of trouble will find me now, i'm trying not to overlisten to them though in case i get sick of them before next year when i maaay decide to go to their concert. unfortunately no, i think the lineup missed the mark just by an inch for me this year! while i'd kill to see jamie xx and mt kimbie, none of the others really excite me all tooo much

i like! anything with dirty projectors is a plus in my books but i think amber coffman's vocals combined with that lo-fi sound in the chorus is a little shrill for me but then again i haven't listened to noise music in forever so maybe that's just me haha i like how it ends! smooth and bassy m mm mmm. i'm a bit into the chill stuff right now in case you hadn't noticed aha

ahhh i have no idea why i didn't go for presale tickets..i guess i just figured i had plenty of time this morning, and i never thought they would sell out so quickly. i went to buy tickets at 10AM on the dot and they were already gone ;( but at least one of us is going! i expect a detailed account of how amazing it is haha. less depressing topics, onto polica. yaay i'm glad! i had a big spotify phase with them, but i never actually got the album, so i keep forgetting how good they are. you may have inspired me to take that leap hah. yeaah agreed, the album as a whole didn't blow me away, but that song really brought up the standard. there are a few other sweet tracksv on there. haha yes that song sounds so similar. i'd only heard fuck u betta, but i enjoyed this weeknd style much more :) always with the recommendations! not complaining though haha.

YEEEESSS. seriously, two of my favourite albums at the moment. i've been pretty obsessed with the national lately anyway, so the new album hasn't really changed my non-stop listening habits haha. but i do think it's amazing. i keep switching between the songs i like the most, but at the moment i really can't get over heavenfaced and don't swallow the cap. same with daft punk hah. so many haters, but i think they had to do something a bit different to their previous albums, and i quite like where they've gone with it. woaah really, an EP is very exciting! definitely keep me posted :)

ah yes, i think that's a good trick ;) haha i remember i was in love with this boody & le1f song called 'born underwater' and i didn't even think of the vocals as sampled for some reason and just yesterday i was listening to an erykah badu song and i was like hey! she took those lyrics from born underwater! oh wait...haha silly me. jacques greene took a great sample from ashanti actually. all the more reason to check him out! but yes, to the point: obscure lyrics are a go. although i did enjoy hearing ones from the weeknd just because i like hearing him in general...aha. maybe if you work really, reaaally hard, who knows! ALL of it? gosh, you probably have more than me now! haha. i'm terrible with downloading new music, mostly i just listen from various places online hence my lack of more recent weekly/monthly scrobbles. yeaah i'm probably just insane hah i don't think i'm a huuuge beach house fan so that could have something to do with it. i had a little portishead revisit the other day in fact! i admittedly forgot about them for a while...yees i've only come across holy other quite recently but i'm a big fan. that 'touch' song, my god. i'm not sure which way you mean freaky but any which way, i think i agree haha.

i loved how i could pick up little snippets of weeknd, i could pick him out anywhere <3 that 'together' song is really beautiful. bit more glitchy and chillwave. i love the sound effects, almost sounds likes birds on a summery day or something. i'm quite a fan of imogen heap too so i liked that sampling! jeff and bjork in 'emotion' too, loovely. when it first started with that bjork i thought it was going to be my favourite but after a while i think i'd prefer it if those violin (?) sounds dropped off after the 3 minute mark and it went into a bit more simple ambience and finished earlier perhaps? they were a little repetitive i guess if i'm trying to be critical/constructive haha..faded had a great progression. it can be hard to concentrate sometimes because i tend to zone out while i'm listening, which is a good achievement i think!

aah i see, i just assumed really, most people i know aren't a fan haha take care is like 70% a greaaat album once you listen to it i think. oh i haven't come across that coldplay one, i'll be sure to check that out too. aah so much to look at! aha. yeep pretty much hah. 'coat of arms', 'fog' and his 'reckoner' remix are wonderful too. pretty sure him and jamie xx swap roles in remixing one another's songs too hah all these artists tend to bleed into one another. ghostory's a bit different, it's use from SVIIB so it's more indie-poppy and not heaaaps original, but i still love it. definitely get onto the greene though, similar path to all these other electronic/future garage artists. i have to say i wasn't a big fan of that beach house release...shock horror! on the sea and lazuli were magical but like the xx i felt it was kinda similar to/not much of a step from their old stuff..i'm never a big fan on female vocals though so i could be bias hah. will do:) although i'm hardly an expert!

haha yeah her face sometimes looks kinda off in photos but in interviews i pretty much fall in love every time. mm, i think because everyone hyped it up so much that contributed to my disappointment...that sort of made sense haha i love jamie! but i think i would've liked to have heard even MORE of him on the album if possible hah. i actually prefer his solo remixes and songs to the xx as a whole. but i guess you have more freedom doing remixes since you can choose from an infinite plain...with a band i suppose you kinda have to maintain your sound. i just wish they hadn't have done it quuuite as much as they did
