Heya! I'm still about even if I'm not listening to much music this year. I've got Paysage d'Hiver to listen to this weekend - ordered it along with their Lunar Aurora split (and a hoody) - the packaging is incredible! Got to keep my A5 digipak collection going.... Just a shame it's come out in the middle of summer rather than late in the year for the full immersion hah. New album from Oranssi Pazuzu highly recommended too if you haven't listened - they do not disappoint. Am jealous of your trip! Much needed at these times...had to shelf any plans I may have had this year (was probably going to be Helsinki next...) but with any luck, get some hiking done up in Wales in late summer. Been doing a stretch every year of Anglesey coastline, 125 miles in all and was meant to be on the final part this year!

Aikasmoinen paketti tuli uutta Paysagea. nyt pääsin kuuntelemaan ja tämä'hän toimii vallan mainiommin kuin edellinen Das Tor. ainakin näin ensi kuuntelemalla.

No hau hau! Ehkä jopa just toisin päin, et muistaa siirtyä vapaa-ajalle arkenakin. Samoja hommia teet kuin ennenkin? Muista edes mitä tarkalleen ottaen oli.

Just a top five for me this year as wasn't too much that appealed although I'm sure there's new releases i've missed that I might catch up on after checking out yours and others lists! 1. Gost - Possessor, 2. Summoning - With Doom I Come, 3. A Forest of Stars - Grave Mounds and Grave Mistakes, 4. Urfaust - The Constellatory Practice, 5. Arkhtinn - 'The First Disaster'

Lots of different manufacturers, but next demo i'm gonna hear is from PMC, their twenty5 23 is something i wanna hear. Too bad they cost just under 4000€...but i can give my speakers which are very good in trade and pay the rest. Still need to save though :) Actually there are lots and lots speakers that i need to listen before i buy. Never buy anything related to hifi without hearing them first. And if possible, always demo them in your own home so that you hear how they really sound and not in some first class boutique studio room which has ideal surroundings. I'm lucky there a lot of hifi dealers here in Helsinki and they are willing to loan me if i want to. Proper service :) I really liked Revel F206 but didn't have the money when i heard them, so that is one option in the future.

They are 5 and 3 years old. Yeah they could :) It would be better to buy second hand, just have to wait patiently what comes to market. Atm i have Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro and Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro, 770 are closed back and 1990 are open back. 1990 are way better but the closed ones are mandatory late at night. What headphones do you have?

For now I have cheap headphones Encore RockMaster OE, but they are really good for that price. My sound's source is PC with AIM SC808. I'm thinking about buying Beyerdynamic DT150, but for now I'm satisfied. Encore are easy to "power", so I can use them also with my Phone and they sound pretty well :)

Hello mate, long time no see. I quit WoW some time ago. Yeah their new album is just great, but Aosoth is also very good, I'm not disappointed at all! I'm pretty fine now, it was worse few months ago. A lot happened in my life after summer. In Poland there is almost no winter at all too. It's just wet most of time, almost without snow. This week is first frosty week I guess (by frosty i mean a temperature below 0C) :D How are You?

You'll have to give me your top album list for the year when it's ready - need to prepare mine although been a little thin on the ground for me. Been working through the albums you recommended me - Tardigrada is the pick of the bunch so far - has a touch of Midnight Odyssey in places which is a great thing in my books...

Thanks for all the recommendations, that will keep me busy! :D My to-listen folder was empty so came at a good time! Good to see you've been listening to Paysage d'Hiver lately...naturally the time of year for me to listen again... If you haven't already, it's worth checking out Urfaust- Empty Space Meditation...they've gone for a more typical atmospheric BM approach but it sits well with my tastes.

Hey! Excuse the slow reply...you're definitely right about In The Woods... no album is the same but each enjoyable in their own way. Will be picking up the Heart of the Woods collection for sure. My opinion seems to have changed a fair bit since I've listened to them a lot lately...Heart of the Ages did top my list but now it's between Pure and Stranger in Stereo - prefer the mellower songs to put it simply. I definitely need to get back to Norway again, quite possibly the best time abroad I've had...was great to at least get away once this summer, think I might explore eastern Europe a bit more after going to Prague - love its history and architecture.

Jury is still out for me on Autumn...I guess considering the title I shouldn't be too surprised but they've kinda lost their winter-like quality from their début album. Glad you're enjoying it though, maybe it'll warm on me in time. By the way, new album coming out in a few weeks from Throes of Dawn - a band I used to really dig years ago, been awhile since they last released anything. Enjoy the hiking in Norway - sounds like my idea of a perfect holiday! No holiday plans abroad myself although should be going up to Wales in a few weeks, should be doing a road trip and seeing some of the smaller castles that I haven't visited before.

Just a quick update from me on your recs... Fyrnask the pick of the bunch so far, it's taking me a while to take it all in but checking out their other albums too, very promising! The Lost Sun do happen to be part of a genre that I'm probably appreciating more than anything in recent times, although in this case it's just not quite memorable enough to warrant a purchase (tis an art-form to pull off longer, ambient tracks and keeping the listeners attention). Sol Sistere and Circle the Salt were both quite good without doing enough for me to make the cut. Just Oak Pantheon to go...and shockingly In The Woods... are a band i've known about for years and never got round to listening to but the latest track has piqued my interest so will rectify that shortly!
