I see we've dropped to "medium" compatibility. (Unacceptable.) I've got absolutely nothing interesting to say. I just miss you.

Hang on a second. Didn't I share some of Delerium's stuff with you back when we were talking about Enigma et al.? (Silence was great, by the way.)

Quite a lot, actually. He was one artist I meant to ask you about, in addition to Tom Jones and Sarah McLachlan (who I've been avoiding for some ten years, now). I'm going to have to dig up Snow Patrol to give them another listening to, also.

Since we haven't been able to share recommendations recently, I thought I could get my fix by listening to your station. Unfortunately, nothing's been working well for me on the mobile site. I'm bummed.

Just barely. (Can't afford home internet access right now.) Thanks for checking up on me. How have things been with you?

I know someone did something right when I can't even look at the title of a song without cracking up.

To be fair, yes, you did mention that her style was kinda quirky. I just had no reason to infer that she'd transition from likeable quirkiness to whatever effect she was trying to have with those vocals. Worse yet is that they were layered over some really nice instrumentals. Okay. I'll try "Fidelity." (I'm a little scared...hold my hand?)

Not you, silly. Regina Spektor! The music was kind of nice, especially the strings in "Us," and I thought she had a decent voice. But then she did that squeaky-breathy thing. And then she did it again. And I was suddenly overcome with the impulse to mutilate something. It's like claws on the chalkboard when women do that...only worse. I'm still feeling twitchy.

Aw, thanks. Happy Winter to you too! Have you been checking out the "Best of 2009" feature here? It's worthy of at least a few giggles.

Guess how out of it I've been? I didn't even realize that The Prodigy released Invaders Must Die earlier this year.

No disrespect intended, of course. While we're using made-up words, though, maybe we can come up with one that means, "I'm so excited, I could've peed a little!"

The video's a bit spooky, but then I've always had an inherent fear of Elvis impersonators. And..."oralization?" XD

That...makes me sad. :( She's supposed to be releasing some solo work, though, right?

I suppose there's still a chance, however slight, that I found this before you did. In the event I did, enjoy: http://tinyurl.com/n6mhd6

For some reason, the title "Dick In a Box" reminded me of "Jizz In My Pants." I was about to comment when I kept reading and saw that they were by the same artist...

One of the greatest, most definitely. But if we're calling it electronica, we might as well call some of The Prodigy's work the same. Both The Fat of the Land and Music for the Jilted Generation have a slight lead on Dig Your Own Hole, in my opinion.

Incidentally, that's the other song that most strongly resembles GY!BE's work. No, I don't think it's one of those barely noticeable similarities you're used to seeing me point out.

I tag stuff through the software while I'm listening to music at the computer. I haven't bothered to look around the site to see if there's another way about it. The song I was talking about was "And the Nightsky Fell Upon Us," but I kept hearing GY!BE through the rest of the album.

Also, let's try post-rock soon. I can't believe how much this song reminds me of Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Part of me wishes you'd start tagging artists so it'd be easier for me to sneak around your profile to find them.

Baby, you can drive my car. Yes, I'm gonna be a star. Baby, you can drive my...actually, no. Don't let me try that again.
