I had to look up Fergus Anderson, as I've never heard of him. Killed at 47 in Belgium...Twice World Champion too.

Me neither, unfortunately. Yeah, a win or two would be good, considering his age (38!). I'd rather Lorenzo then, as I can't abide Marquez & his shady side

Good Portuguese. Snyder and Coe are 2 heroes. All 4 next Os Mutantes albums are excellent and as classic as the debut in Brazil. After that members began quitting and the remaining ones went prog, which I don't hate, but it didn't work for them, until the last guy standing decided to go solo. Few years back 2/3 of them reunited, but the one who's been mentally unstable for decades quit again after a few months. Surprisingly, tho, the same last guy finally managed to come with a good new album that feels like the band more than anything since '72.Stil the crowds at concerts give the only song from it they perform no attention.

blasmusik! You got it man..I'll look into it - as for radio-yours-truly,you might be better off waiting another year or something, when the tendrils and shoots of my true musical tastes grow a little stronger. Getting there slowly, tho ;)

That Charley Patton song was fucking great! I'm sure I have a track of his somewhere with the exact same tune but a slightly different title (haven't got it to hand,it's on a comp.CD at home) which was also really fantastic - the lyrics on that one were definitively referring to having a Junk habit and the lengths to which one will go to get that Spoonful, whereas this one you have is up for discussion,as evidenced by the shoutbox. Well,I can definitely say that I shall return to your library..time to crash now, though.

i'm quite enjoying it at the moment but i'm not sure if it will have the lasting appeal of the first american album, which is my favourite of the series. Thats not really a fair critiscm though as i dont think many albums do. I do feel that VI plays more like a series of outtakes than an actual album, the seqeuncing is quite nice though. I agree with you on all the standout tracks i can see 'for the good times' and 'olaha oe' becoming two of my favourite cash recordings. So maybe theses tracks on their own have a lasting appeal thats not shared by the whole album. Do you have a favourite of the american series?

I'm very flattered that you respected my taste enough to watch Haibane Renmei, especially as I never said anything about it to you, and I'm glad that you liked it. It's by far my favorite anime, but I think there are others you might enjoy. Mushishi is an episodic fantasy series very much reminiscent of Japanese folk tales, and has some very beautiful artwork. If you ever get into manga, you might want to pick up Monster by Naoki Urasawa, a wonderful psychological thriller with well developed characters and a continually intriguing, meaningful story.

Oh... Christmas in the Heart is undoubtedly hilarious. I do love Together Through Life though, "Life is Hard" is beauitful. Theme Time Radio Hour you say? I will give it a go!

Ooohh, obscure Nashville Skyline references... I liiike it. Christmas in the Heart? I'm just... I've only listened once, and I'm not quite sure what to make of it just yet. I'll give it another try. What's your opinion on new Bob? Liking his stuff?
