Yep pretty much! that music will get trapped in your ears or make you go completely insane that you've heard the same song over and over again in multiple different scenarios, and unfortunately thats how it goes, except i've been called i look like dave mustaine (which i don't mind tbh), red headed Jim Morrison (coined by one of my teachers in high school), Ed Sheeran and carrot top. And same here, i absolutely miss him his death really hit me me hard man... I was super shocked i couldn't believe it, and then Vans death just a couple month ago made it worse

Any Morrison comparison sounds like the hugest compliment to me! As much as I loved Lanegan,it wasn't much of a shock to me.(Maybe on a level that idols never die)......But, the pure man had been through a lot with his health. The biggest shock ever was by far Cornell...A few days before I was watching an interview of him promoting music for the film ''the promise'' and he said that he wanted to be healthy and well for his kids...My first thought when I heard he passed away was blaming morons who like to spread bad jokes on the internet. My heart just couldn't handle it.

Very reasonable price...I remember my sister bying two or three years ago an electric guitar plus amp for begginers for about 160$. I thought she couldn't find anything under 200-250 $.Glad I was wrong. At least if you are not a pro, there's pretty good equipement in really low prices to help you get started.

Hey pal!Long time, no talk. Since it combines Morrison and black and white, does the work for me, even though I change my avatar quite often as I believe you do so. Maybe I miss the times when the site was letting you have pics, gifs or band logos in your sidebar and somehow your profile was much more personalized and unique.

i wanted to share this with you, its a folder of all the mp3's i have downloaded of travis's music. I also labeled what album they're supposed to be on and if they're b-sides, theres more songs out there on youtube somewhere yes i know but these are the ones i've really been listening to the most and put them in my spotifys local files, and theres my youtube playlist for travis's live and unreleased stuff too. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RFSuaCHM9oblMAk0PakNo4UDNe6pdbX2?usp=sharing https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYxPR86BS9FAjCAkZbz8rYiPAJHU9dkON

Indeed very Days of the New style with a touch of some indie folk. Vocals sound a bit like Travis, but not that much in the chorus.....Probably because of the baritone voice on lower notes.Nice!

I actually haven't!!Where is Travis nowadays? If he doesn't bother getting back to the band why not following a solo career? So much talent gets wasted! The song is beautiful! It reminded me a bit of Chris Cornell's work on Higher Truth for some reason.

Yeah it's sad, the last time I checked the Facebook page for days of the new they said he was recovering out west, also yeah that song is my favorite of his solo acoustic stuff there's a ton of rare songs I haven't heard though, but I've really only been listening to the b sides and yellow/green. The past few months, so much material just out there not being used, which is unfortunate and hopefully one day it will make it on an album or even a compilation.

It would be great to have all these songs together as an official release, true!!!Sometimes I wonder if it's only just a bad mood by the on and off rehab/getting clean situation or just record labels are not interested in them anymore and it's more of an economic matter.I mean, you can have an independent release only if there is a satysfing fund, right?

I've been listening to music in english constantly since I was around 13, and I was always looking for translations of songs and assimilating the words with the sound and etc.. I also liked watching films and stuff (also) in english. If i didnt had acces to internet maybe i wouldn't have learnt all I know hahah Now 7 years later I can say that I defend myself pretty well speaking english. Btw, even nowdays Im still not very into music written in spanish, sadly

Well I studied french at school but once I finished I never laid eyes on it again (sadly bc I had really high notes). I learnt english by my own, but! I regret not going to a place to study it like at an institute or smth.. it would have been great. I consider capable to learn languages but Im lazy... I'd like studying Russian or German.. what for? I dont really know.. just for fun. I doubt I will ever get to Russia or Germany tho! If I could find aaaaall the records I like I'd have even much more than now hahaha. My current cd collection consists on about 65 records, I love buying records and I agree with what you say it is a totally different feeling. Having the album in your hands! that's cool enough for me. All the record stores in my town sell pretty much pop or rock pop.. or trending artists. So when i get to travel to another city with more variety thats when I check out everything and I end up buying about 1 or 2... depending on how much money I've got on me !

I would have swear you were from England (!) btw.. I am usually curious about languages that don't include the alphabet I knew my whole life, do you speak any other language besides english and greek ? And for the B 52s... they were always on my Youtube recomendations..I heard them once and I couldn't stop ever since, the other day I had the chance of buying 2 records by them..

They recently gave me a lot of new responsibilities at work, which makes it so much harder for me to leave because I hate the idea of disappointing people (be it my coworkers or the kids I take care of), or throwing the last nine years of job experience down the drain by leaving with a bad reference. But there never is a good time to quit. Anyways it’s the weekend so I don’t want think about work. I was thinking about the connection between True Blood and The 100. It’s Adina Porter. You know, I hated her character in True Blood (Tara’s mother Lettie Mae) because she sucked as a mother and put Tara, one of my favorite characters, through so much shit. Wasn’t it the very first ep she hits Tara in the head with a bottle while she’s drunk? But she’s a badass in the 100 as Indra.

People not noticing music in things makes me kind of sad, because I connect emotionally to things so much through music. It’s like going to art museum and only seeing everything in black and white. Speaking of that, I saw this science and technology show on TV a while back where this guy who was colorblind designed an antenna for his head that sent a message to his brain to play different music notes for different colors, so he heard music in his head when he looked at art and flowers and stuff. Isn’t that cool?

So I just thought of this the other day, but I’m actually seriously thinking about driving up to Vancouver, Canada where The 100 is filmed. I think that officially qualifies me as a super fan, but I swear I’m not obsessed at a crazy level. It’s less than a four hour drive, and I’ve wanted to visit Vancouver for a years anyways. I think I could visit some of the filming locations, maybe do some hiking and explore the city. I was already taking some time off for work in a couple weeks anyways, to recharge after a hard summer. And it was a really hard summer. I almost quit a few times, but I stopped myself from walking out in the middle of my shift. I still want to quit, but all the benefits and job security I currently have are hard to come by. It won’t do me any good if I completely burn out mentally though.

Correction- In the Count of Monte Cristo Henry Cavill was actually about 18-19, a couple years older than the character he played. He’s gotten a lot hotter since then, not to mention his body, but it you go and watch that movie from 2002 you’ll see how handsome he was even as a teenager without all the muscles he has now.

And Henry Cavill! You know I first noticed him in The Count of Monte Cristo when he was like 15, and I thought he was really cute. I wasn’t surprised to see him grow up into such a gorgeous man. Have you watched the Tutors? First episode, first scene he’s in...OMG, it’s practically porn. 😛

Also, so weird that you mentioned KFC, cuz I had a bizarre dream about KFC being at war with Popeye’s Cajun Kitchen. 🤯 I was a corporate spy or something for Popeye’s because I like them better, but I don’t think they have Popeye’s all over the world yet so KFC might be winning 😞

You probably know the song “Werewolves of London” by Warren Zevon that was playing when Murphy goes in that bomb shelter on the island at the end of S2 and gets locked inside for three months. Fun fact: did you know the actress that plays Niylah (Jessica Harmon) is Richard Harmon’s (Murphy) sister? I didn’t realize this until I saw her name in the guest staring credits in S3 and put two and two together. Anyways, two other songs feat. in the show that I like and already had in my library- “Stars” by the Delta Riggs and “State of the Art (A.E.I.O.U.)” by Jim James, both feat. in S4 Ep 7.

The second song I mentioned (the Orwells one) wasn’t in the 100, I was just recommending it. I can’t think of any other songs from the show that really stood out for me, besides Radioactive by Imagine Dragons (but now that I think about it, there was a slow version of that song that plays in S3 Ep 13 during a flashback) I like the slow version of “Radioactive” by Koda by it’s not on iTunes (I just checked). Neither is Shawn Mendes’ slow version of “Add It Up” by the Violent Femmes that he played at the piano during his cameo in the S3 premier, which is a shame because I’d buy that song in a heartbeat. I’m big fan of Shawn Mendes, and he is big fan of the 100, which why he did a cameo on show.

Also “Sold in the City” by Criminal Hygiene, which is the song that Raven plays when she is trying block out A.L.I.E. through sensory overload (And the stuff she’s chanting over and over is a verse from Edgar Allen Poe’s poem “The Raven” in case you didn’t know).

Hey,l! I’ve just moved out of the trailer I was living in for the last eight months and into a house! 😀 The house is kind of in an isolated area so my phone/internet service is spotty for now, but I’m trying to get that fixed. Lots of trees surround the property, and I’m like a five minute walk to a state park and a beach where I don’t have worry about tourists cuz like I said it’s pretty isolated. I do have neighbors (one has a llama farm) on either side of me but I don’t see them much cuz of all the trees. I like that. I’m living with my mom, her boyfriend, and 2 dogs so I’m not alone. I like this area a lot, but I have a really long commute to work (like 50 minute drive) so really need to find another job that’s closer. I started rewatching The 100 from the beginning again and I just finished S3. There’s not as much music in the show as there are in some other shows I like, but occasionally The 100 has a really powerful song to go with a really powerful scene and...

That would have been a perfectly satisfying series ending for me. Better than you get with most shows. The new planet leaves me with hope for the last remaining survivors of Earth (I guess less than 500 people). When they actually set foot on this new planet, that’s when things are pretty much guaranteed to go to shit yet again. Lol

I just finished The 100 S5 so I can talk about it now. I accidentally kind of spoiled myself on the cryogenic pods/hibernation for 100+ years thing, or maybe I just put two and two together, because I had already seen the episode where Raven and Murphy are on the prisoner transport ship and the prisoners start waking up. Then I was reading a character bio for Echo and it said she was like 145 years old and I was like “WTF?” And then I realized they were probably going to use the cryogenic pods to go into a long hibernation until the world was more livable again. What I didn’t see coming was that Earth would be totally dead and they’d end up going to another planet. I started tearing up as soon as I realized Monty had stayed out of the pod and grown old an died (along with Harper) after saving everyone by finding the new planet. And I’m glad there’s going be a S6 (next spring I guess) but if the show had ended with Clark and Bellamy looking at the new planet with tears in their eyes...

I love that song “New Rules” too but I just haven’t gotten around to listening to the rest of Dua Lipa’s album yet. Most of the music I’ve been listening to this summer is stuff I already had on my phone and a few dozen CDs I’ve gotten from the library and ripped to my computer and gotten to go into my iTunes cloud. I just ripped a couple dozen more CD yesterday, but for some reason they haven’t shown up in the cloud yet. Got a lot of good new music coming my way (for free) if I can get that to work though. Hey have you still been following The 100? I just started watching S5 on Netflix and it’s awesome. Have you checked out The Last Ship yet? It’s great to watch side by side with The 100, if you can handle that much “end of the world” drama at once (though The Last Ship is considerably less bleak than The 100)

I don’t like the new Spotify system at all. Not only can I not listen to playlists on shuffle (forcing me to listen to same couple of songs from a long playlist everytime) I can’t seem to get anything I listen to on Spotify to scrobble, even though I connected my FB account and tried to follow the steps and everything. I haven’t been listening to music as much on there as a result, so I haven’t discovered that much new music lately. I did however listen to Ariana Grande’s new album yesterday. It’s got some good tracks, but it’s not quite as good as I thought it would be. IDK. I have mixed feelings. She gets a lot of (unfair) hate, but I think she has amazing voice, range, and I love her impressions. And now I’m on an Aretha Franklin kick. 😁

I’m not interested in getting married just for the sake of being normal either. Marriage is an abstract concept to me. I’ve never been one of those girls to plan their wedding out without even being in love with anyone, but it seems to me that most people are so focused on wanting all the traditional and superficial things, that the actual emotional connection is secondary. Or they assume once they have all the traditional, superficial things that everyone (especially females) are supposed to want their lives will be fulfilled and they will live happily ever after. But getting married is no guarantee of a happily ever after, it’s just where most story tellers decide to end to story. Unless they flash forward to a couple of kids running around, like that’s the pinnacle of achievement. But there are other ways to live and leave an positive impact on this world.

How are you by the way? I’m trying to figure out why all the music CD’s I’ve ripped to my new laptop over the last two months isn’t showing up on my phone. I’ve adding about a thousand songs to my library and the iCloud, and they were accessible until two days ago and now they are not. It’s kind of upsetting me. I’ve discovered a lot of great new music recently, or at least new and great to me. I could make you a whole list of songs, but I can’t remember the titles and I can’t see them right now. Shakira huh? Interest choice ;P I do listen her sometimes myself, but I have to be in a rare mood. Can dance like her? Lol. No one can. I’m feeling happy today. It’s a rare sunny day in winter here in Olympia, WA and it’s mid-50’s so I’m wearing a t-shirt. Last week it rained every day and week before that it snowed every day, but I still really love it here. I’ve been driving around a lot and cool having so many lakes and inlets around. And I’m pretty close to the Pacific coast. I think it’s less than an hours drive and I want to go out there some time, but not this time of year. I read a local news story recently about 2 women who went digging for clams and got swept out by the waves and drowned, so it’s not a good time of year to go. Even in the some I doubt it gets very touristy. Not like Greece, I’m sure. It kind of feels like the edge of the world, and I like to think about how there was absolutely nothing here 200 years ago, except for trees and Native Americans.

Got home WiFi now! Yay! Also got a decent used laptop for $150 in place of a desktop computer which I have no room for since I’m living in a trailer with my mom (temporary situation). I got a whole bunch of CDs from the library here and ripped them to my iTunes library. Speaking of music, it seems grunge and alternative rock is still pretty popular here. A lot of places I go, it’s like stepping back in time to the 90’s, but with WiFi. A lot of good indie rock bands are from around here too.
