I'm good...been writing lots but deadline postponed so i'm free. re weekend: a few of us are planning to do 'something involving alcohol and music' tonight. Any ideas? Was thinking of maybe seeing whiskey go gos and subaudible hum at nsc, but open to suggestion if you feel like a night of music and alcohol. And she's not there is an incredible track.I haven't heard the new vega. Will have a listen

Heya. How are you going? I listened to your playlist the other day and I like it! The khancoban track is great. I'd never heard 'em before, but will be looking out for them!

very good, it's awesome to hear your favorites in a whole new way. i highly suggest it. of course, most are not as good as the original and some in my opinion were ruined (like jerusalem)!

Khancoban are one of the greatest things since this bread-slicing caper took off back in ought-six. Do I know you in real real life?

scritti - yeah the white bread black beer album has some lovely 'adult' moments. a good test of whether you will like it or not is whether you get a kick out of st etienne and if you liked the junior boys. soft adult pop. wbbb is very different from SP's 80s material which you might have heard on Countdown (!!).

Oh, I don't think I'll be going either thanks to a horrible uni assignment. Guess I'll have to play Second Storey all night and pretend I'm there. ;) So what's the deal with Tapes 'n' Tapes? Should I believe the hype?

Yes, that's Duncan Robinson, one ofmy best friends. I never made the connection that someone would be listening to his stuff. He adores static and is an absolute legend of a human being. I have some of his other stuff, but that's about as static as he gets.

'The Morning Ripples' is the Small Sips' lovely debut CD. I agree re: the new 99, and I love most of their other stuff (The Process particularly). Will have to give the new one a few more plays though. Are you going to the AOF Corner show? I'm having withdrawals - haven't seen them play for a while now (but did see Ollie Browne as a solo support of Holly Throsby which was excellent of course!)

Hello there! Man, that's a lot of ninetynine you've been listening to. ;) I just picked up the most recent album (not sure if it's particularly new or I'm just out of the loop). What do you think of it? Have you heard The Morning Ripples by The Small Sips? Lora sings on some of the songs, and the band also contains members of Sodastream and Paradise Motel. Good stuff!

Modest Mouse are doing a solo show in early Jan in Melbourne, but cool, you're seeing them at Falls. It's not ideal, but I can think of worse ways of spending new years than watching Johnny Marr play.
