lol I totally agree with that. Despite the high quality of the recordings, [id]'s emotion seems to be lost in the clarity of the sound. Don't get me wrong, I love both albums, ATSA is just more broad and warm IMO. Either way, Veil of Maya just rules... this is just in comparison to themselves lol

The production quality of [id] is obviously better than on All Things Set Aside. Listen to the mix of the drums on ATSA, then on [id] and you should be able to tell. If not, then you just need to gain some sound engineering experience, because the difference is like night and day. Production quality has nothing to do with composition of the actual songs, but if that's what you meant, I'd completely agree. I don't mean to sound like a douche, I was just surprised when I saw your post!
