Oh yes i know Le Tourbillon, it's such an amazing song. Even today this song is popular in France although 50 years have passed since it was composed. Jules and Jim is a famous movie icon of the French “Nouvelle Vague” most authentic period (1956-1962). In 90’s, Le Tourbillon was covered by Vanessa Paradis ("Paradis" means "heaven" in French ;) ), a french actress/singer and Johnny Depp's wife. If you like Jeanne Moreau, you should listen Françoise Hardy (L’amitié, mon ami la rose, Tous les garçons et les filles, Le temps de l’amour, La maison où j’ai grandi, etc…. She’s so so so lovebale), Anna Karina (Ne dis rien) and Serge Gainsbourg (Manon), it’s very sweet !

For me best french metal band is GOJIRA. Their style is strong, technical and aggressive. Others metal : Dagoba, Anorexia Nervosa, Hacride, My Own Private Alaska, Loudblast. In rock and Pop-rock there are bands like Phoenix, M83, Noir Désir, HushPuppies, Les Belmondos, Les Shades, Burning Heads (punk), Uncommonmenfrommars (punk), Tahiti 80, Nouvelle Vague, AIR, Benjamin Biolay, AS Dragon, Malajube (french canadian), Yann Tiersen (Amelie from Montmartre), Syd Matters, Sébastien Shuller, Sébastien Tellier (La ritournelle), Cocoon (folk), Coming Soon (antifolk), Herman Düne, Thomas Fersen and many others... :D

Nice charts :) You listen a lot of french stuff : Emily Loizeau, Coralie Clément, Camille, Charlotte Gainbourg...I'm proud that the French singers are popular outside France. I recommend you Emilie Simon, Françoise Hardy, Berry, Soko, Claire Denamur, Autour de Lucie, April March, France Gall, Cœur de Pirate, Adeline Moreau ... They are good too :)
