I'm also currently obsessed with Karin, I'd loved to see her live, but she's not touring in France.. Too bad. The thing about Swedish singers is that they all seem very close, they often do like duets, split singles, covers, live guest appearances, and that's a great opportunity to discover new bands/artists. I've been listening to Camera Obscura and YYYs a lot since I saw them live last month, I still can't get over those two shows.. And as for Cocteau Twins, I discovered them like... last week, but I've been LOVING the few tracks I, ahem, downloaded, hence the 400 plays! I recently stopped ignoring the 80s, and I'm discovering fantastic music. By the way, would you have any 80s band to recommend me? =)

if you're taking recommendations then try to find stuff by Eat Your Make Up and Erase Errata. one is french, the other from san francisco. one is darkwave/gothpunk type stuff, the other is sonic youth noise rock types.

what new stuf fyou bene listning to? i've been killing the new Atmosphere and Portishead, and delving into the world of Robyn remixes.

of what i heard it's more straight-forward. or maybe that's inaccessible for those into inaccessible. lol either way it's still good, i guess much in the same way tallahassee by mr. mountaingoats was a weird departure but still good. speaking of which, that has some SNIDE tracks! thinking no children heh craziness
