Fantastic library with a lot of the 2nd wave BM bands that started exploring different soundscapes. Good choice on the Ava Inferi and Type O as well. Cheers

Same here. I still remember when the first Ava Inferi came out and thinking "this is the same guy as Mayhem?!". Type O is perfect Autumn listening really. As for the classical, both jazz and classical became normal listening after starting to study and work in music more seriously.

SO NOW IT HAPPENED, I also got the ugly, confusing layout too. Last.FM already tried to install this style (song title on the left, artist on the right) years ago and failed (/ lost a huge bunch of users). Aren't they interested in the opinions of their users and subscribers? I can't believe that more than 10 % of "us" all appreciate the layout design. I, personally, am a member since 2002 (since 2007 with another name), we've walked through a lot of changes, lost a few very good features, but THIS is REALLY bugging me out to the max. Express your opinion: create a user account in their community support on www.getsatisfaction.com/lastfm . We can't let this happen! We love our customary Last.FM that we're used to for ages. Without us this page is nothing, and we have to tell the admins that we love the style that's been here for years. WE are Last.FM !!!

Sorry to interrupt you, ladies. My use of LFM will even be reduced to near zero when the new design will be delivered to us who aren't subscribers. I even concluded mine because of that crap (when I saw it). They even implemented the "Song - Artist" shit again. I want the old "Artist - Song" look. I also wrote the LFM team about it, but they didn't even answer, so they can eat my shorts. Been through a lot of changes on this page (since I'm using it since 2002, formerly with another user name), but this is definitely the worst one.

Haha, I wish.. but I'll still be in Australia that time and there aren't really concerts, especially not out in the bush where I am like 90% of the time. Really miss it and forever will if I should end up staying here. But anyway, Australia is an amazing experience, that's for sure. :)

Hahaha, for sure you do. :) Nothing special, another Last.fm friend and I just used some strong language on the site of a "Scrobble Cheater" (these persons that listen to thousands of songs per day by using special cheat programs- I think they have small penises and only feel good when they have 500 K and more songs in their library). That guy informed some mods and we were banned for 14 days (was reduced to 1 week). The complete mod team is a bunch of total double standards. I wrote an example of some Russian fascists in the forum a couple of days ago. I wrote that they use "Sieg heil" and other crap in their shouts. They deleted my posting and wrote that they don't tolerate such words, even as examples. Muahahahahaha, what a bunch of douchebags...

Hey Caro. I'm sure you'll pick up the words soon, you're making a quite clever impression on me. :-) I didn't follow Udo's career- how's the album / his voice? At the end of the 90's he wanted to retire, that's all I remember. Are there any albums you're waiting for? This Friday will see the release of the new Testament and the new Bon Jovi (the last one, "Burning Bridges" was really good again) will come out next week. I wish you some pleasant days, hugging you. Morning Caro! Good that you're getting used to your new home, I think you did the right thing. Watched some underground Death Metal and Hardcore bands in the last few weeks, next week I'm going to see SAGA, a great Prog Rock band since nearly 40 years, awesome musicians. What about you? Have a nice day, hugs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMHe_0GHLJI

OH ! GOOD that you mentioned it- will definitely buy the new Sabaton, and the package with Accept sounds really flawless. I'm looking for the new Opeth, hope that the album will be a little heavy again (the new single doesn't lead in that direction). Bought some albums from Leprous and Haken, both great bands and worth some listens. Completed my CCR (Creedance Clearwater Revival) / John Fogerty collection (love their music), took some swims in lakes (here we had about 40°, now it's "only" around 30°) and in a few weeks I'll pay a visit to England again. What about your life plans (check PM, please) ? xoxo Chris

Hey, yeah I know, you're a little Therion freak. :) Like I once said, up to "Theli" I really love their shit. Maybe I should give their newer stuff one more chance... Have you heard that Ross the Boss is touring with his Ross the Boss band doing Manowar stuff of the 80's ????? And the tickets are about 25 Euros, compare with about 100 Euros of his former employers. He's got an awesome 6-octave singer with him, Mike Cotoia. Will definitely check them out when they return to Europe. Well, then I wish you all the luck for your moving. Chris

Metal band, also featuring Robert Sarzo (played with Ozzy, Geoff Tate and Quiet Riot). Anyway, Foreigner will fascinate, no doubt about that. Jeff Pilson (Dokken and Millions of ther bands) is also a member of the current line up. And the "old man", Mick Jones, is an icon in Rock music. I mean, who doesn't know the songs "Girl on the Moon", "Break it Up", "I want to know what love Is", "Urgent", "Juke Box Hero", "Cold as Ice" (for example) ?? He even produced Van Halen's great "5150". Their music is timeless, aligning generations. :) I wish you a great Saturday and leave you with that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMqfWoFjgto , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7tzi8wkYgI xoxo, Chris

(them opening) on their last tour and bought all their stuff, nice guys. Oh, you like A Perfect Circle? I love their first CD, "Orestes" always takes me away. And I can't say how disappointed I am about the working morale of Tool. It seems they still sell good and get enough money, otherwise they would get their skinny asses up and finally record another album. I mean, nearly 11 years since the last album? That's digusting... Yes, I have seen Europe on the "Secret Society" and "Start from the Dark" tours. Both times in 1500 - 2000 people halls and they definitely nailed it. Great guys. Must be pretty strange for them- in Japan they still sell out 25000 people arenas and in Europe they are clubbing...If you get the chance- see them live. Next week I'll see Foreigner once again. It's not Lou Gramm (one of the best Rock singers ever to me, regarding 70's and 80's Foreigner stuff), but the "new" guy is a really good "replica". :) It's Kelly Hansen, former singer of Hurricane, a nice 80's

Hi there Caro ! Was a usual Saturday: doing the grocery shopping, getting misanthropic thoughts about the shitty people in the mall and also on the street. Fuck, these are the days I hate mankind the most, and yeah, some people are simply a waste of space and air... "War of Kings" is "ok", some songs are good and others: meh. They should've stopped after "Start from the Dark" (this album was a fulminant comeback, awesome from the first note to the last). Some real good songs on "Secret Society", too, but in general it's just average (compared to their great stuff between 1983 and 1991). Like I once said, some people miss the right point to end their career for good. Talking of W.A.S.P., I have all their stuff between "W.A.S.P." and "Helldorado". Lost the interest after that and didn't follow anymore. Was there some good material? Myrath played in a club? Sounds interesting, must be a good underground pub, for they are still pretty unbeknownst in Europe. I saw the opening for SYMPHONY X

Hello there Caro. Sounds good and seems like a dream come true for you. I wish you all the best for your new career. Bought some new music in the last days, for example the new FROST* album ("Falling Satellites"), completed my EUROPE library, a band from which I love EVERY output and that releases good to brilliant music since 1983. The guitar player who replaced the renowned John Norum after the "Final Countdown" album in 1986, Kee Marcello, had such a fantastic tone, it always gives me shivers to the bone. A shame that he left after 2 albums ("Out of this World" and "Prisoners in Paradise"). Another one I bought is "Legacy" from Myrath, a band in the style of Symphony X but with a more oriental touch. Tomorrow is the release day for the new The Dead Daisies, a band that consists of very prominent members, for example the great singer John Corabi and guitar wizard Doug Aldrich. I hope it will be a blast. By the way, do you like KISS ? I love ALL their stuff from 1973 on.

I'm closing with one last musical hint of the day: PAGAN's MIND. I've learned about them because I love their mastermind / guitar player Jorn Viggo Lofstand, who played with Jorn Lande up til about 2008 (since he left, Lande is only releasing shitty albums, a shame). Maybe you like them, too. Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eokzEqy5rZE (in my opinion Nils K. Rue is one of the best Metal singers ever, even as good as Michael Kiske for example)

Call me radical, but I guess it's a mistake to concede the Muslim people so much room in Europe and take so much asylum seekers (why not end the fucking war in their countries? Most of these people only are economic migrants- why not send them back immediately??? I don't get it.). The crime rates are increasing day by day... Evening my busy bee ! :) Today I've listened to "As above", VERY good album, and it was their first work since '86??? That's rough !! Very good singing, too. Will definitely buy it when I get to my record dealer or maybe on Amazon.. Yes, I prefer Warlock above her solo stuff, "All we Are" is one of the best Rock songs ever written, in my opinion. I've met her 2 times, a very kind person without any allures. I've seen her live again a couple of months ago, together with Axxis, was a breath of fresh air.. Very nice of you asking about my safety over here. Well, it's good that I live in a small village, I guess these motherfucker terrorists are aiming for bigger cities first. It's such a a shame how the German government welcomed ALL the asylum seekers with open arms over the last year up til now. We the nation feel like to be sold down the river and left behind. They get everything for free, while German people can't even afford a correct health insurance. And in return for that they

Now the dentist is on holiday for 3 weeks (hope that I won't have to go to another one for emergency treatment) and after that there will be 2 final sessions to fulfil the treatment (filling up the verve and root canal... ... ...). At least the other teeth are doing fine. I mean, I treasure my teeth a lot, do prophylaxis, bleech them every year and so on, but some things are just out of your hands. What do you think as a lady? Hahaha, so we were talking about 2 different shoes, nice. Ok, maybe you check out their early stuff. Right now I'm assorting my musical library, physical (putting the CD's and LP's from the boxes back into their special cabinets) and digital (encoding some music tracks on my computer hard disks). You know, I don't use Spotify or other streaming shit. 1 reason is that they usually don't have all the stuff we both listen to, and another is that the tracks don't belong to you if you subscribe there for, what? 20 Dollars / Euros per month??? Muahahaha, NEVER. If I buy music, I want to take it and hear it where I want to. I only listen to my music via iTunes. So I can listen to it in my car, my bike, my tablets, my PC's, which is very good. 3 or 4 years ago I was using the Windows Media Player, but it still isn't well-engineered (just like iTunes, but they are a little ahead of the pack, especially the fact that you can listen to the music on every device that you have the software

I only know very few material. Don't know, never was so deep in the NWOBHM bands like others, but I love a lot of hair bands. :) Some real good musicians in those chapels. I have all the Bon Jovi albums in my collection, even the maxis and singles, and there really are good to perfect songs on every work for me. Can't wait for the new Dokken, Metallica and Ozzy albums later this year. They can talk shit about Ozzy as much as they like but I loooove all his albums (same with Sabbath, I love all the eras of this band), always strong material. And I even believe that the new Metallica will be a blast. There is an iTunes remastered version of "Death Magnetic" and this sounds BRILLIANT. Way better than the distorted original album. Fucking Loudness War again. I even love "St. Anger" (AAND the drums) and all their 90's stuff. Just like classic Metal bands Testament, Overkill, Anthrax, Exodus, Metal Church... Real monsters up until today. Ha a nice evening, my dear friend. xoxo Chris

around since '79 and even sell more albums than Manowar) take 25 Euro for the tickets and have a real fair merchandise rate. Talking about this, Maiden are also fucked up business men that go directly for the money of the fans... I have seen Priest in 1991 on the Painkiller - Tour, but I have no big memories, too long gone. I love the 2 albums with Ripper Owens, especially the first one. Listen to theeeeeese brutal screams ! Clearly one of the best Metal singers around. He also was very good in Iced Earth, but I prefer their first two singers on the first two albums (I am not a big fan of Barlow) and they always have good riffs. There is a new album coming in a few weeks... You sure could borrow my bike, but you shouldn's drive when tired as a bear in the winter. :) Yeah, I love the OLD Therion very much (up to "Theli", after it they went to melodramatic in my opinion) and I even like Samael's recent stuff (their first 4 albums are fantastic, though). From Diamond Head or Angel Witch

Hey Caro. How are you doing on this hot Sunday (here we have 33°)? Yeah, it's funny, I live in a small town about 70km from their hometown.. Yeah, like I said, there definitely are some good tracks on the last Manowar albums, but they were bad in general. A real joke and slap in the face was the re-recording of the 2 classic albums (and they sounded like shit- they are another victim of Loudness War). Hahaha, as I write these lines there starts "The Dawn of Battle", what an awesome track. They will do a farewell tour which starts at the end of the year in Germany and will move in throughout the globe. I was on fire until I checked the ticket prices- 80 - 110 Euro !!! I've paid about 100 € for The Stones once, but sure as shit won't be paying this for a Rock band !!! I would pay it for Peter Gabriel, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson (saw him 3 times in the 90's), REAL BIG ONES !! But not for Manowar !!!! I was so fucked up when I read about that... in the last years and the production of the albums is a joke), I guess there would be more if I thought harder...Bon Jovi, I really like the new record, "We don't Run"- I can't get enough of this fantastic song. And I'm a big fan of Richie Sambora (who was fired before the CD), I didn't think that it would work without him, but they did it. Saviour Machine, maybe you should also start chronologically with their first album, "Saviour Machine" (sometimes tagged as "Saviour Machine I") and then the 2nd which is called "Saviour Machine II". I would really like to know what you think about them. After these 2 albums they went on very symphonic (with real orchestras) and recited some fragments of the holy bible combined with Rock, I think it's great. Their later works are really a lot harder to get into and I needed a lot of listens to like them. How was your barbecue? Hope, you were bear-free. :) Be safe. xoxo Chris

mine, which is very funny. "Blood of the Nations" was such a fulminant comeback, I looooooove this album. I'm a big Accept fan since I was about 10 (my older brother is a die-hard fan) and their double live CD from 1985, "Staying a Life", is like a holy grail for me, it's more than perfect... Another band that I'm a HUUUUUGE fan of are Iron Maiden, but there it's just the opposite- their last 4 albums are VEEERY average, especially for a band like Maiden. Not to speak of the shitty distorted production (well, so many bands join this "Loudness War") and the, hard to say that, reeeeally bad shaped voice of Bruce Dickinson on the new album. Oh my. There are a lot of bands that missed the right time to end their career: Manowar (last 2 albums were very poor, except 3 or 4 tunes), Judas Priest (well, their new album is better than I awaited and the old boy Halford still sings "okay"), Danzig (my No.1 band in Metal, I'm more than a fan, met Glenn and all the thinigs, but his voice is fading

Hello my dear Caro! I'm so glad that you begin to like Fates Warning, "Island in the Stream" is one of the greatest songs in Rock / Metal I've ever heard. It may seem like a "simple" ballad, but the drums and guitars are REALLY complex and hard to play...I have listened to "Köld", but I'm sorry to say that I don't like the voice of the singer. The instrumental parts (for example the opener) are really nice, remind me of a mixture between My Dying Bride and later Samael. But the vocalist...not really my type. Don't get me wrong, I listen to a lot of singers, that are too much for some people, like John Arch (first Fates Warning singer), King Diamond, Scott Jeffreys (Confessor), only to name a few, but I can't get into his voice. But wouldn't it be boring if we all loved the same bands and songs? I mean, we both share a lot of bands. :-) To speak of Accept, I really like their new work and it is great that 2 of the old boys are still aboard (they live in a town about 30 kilometers from
