i just listened to a song off that album, it reminded me of the techno music from the life aquatic. if you were to listen to clutch, i am certain you would, as you suggested, find no musical similarities whatsoever. interesting coincidence nonetheless. perhaps they share a parallel dogmatic outlook on social existence. or they are socially lactose intolerant. far out.
