Hey! Thank you! I only happen to get to see this now. It's the most frustrating thing, the lastfm scrobbler on my Windows computer just decided to stop working. And I've been listening to so much of my music on CD and vinyl, because I got a new sound system, that I haven't gotten around to fixing the scrobbler! I did fix it on my my mac, which will now basically log what I listen to on apple music at work. But still not for my home windows pc. Randomly decided to binge on some death metal tonight. Started with Ignivomous - Death Transmutation on CD for God know's what reason, directly after listening to Deepchord's live in detroit [ghost in the sound] - basically dub techno into dm. After Igni, saw I had Portal's Swarth lying out and played that softly and turning up every now and then while browsing my pc. I was browsing discogs market, perfect little swedish shop that sells a major variety of death metal at a reasonable price. Now I'm listening to Deicide's new album. God knows.

Later tonight I guess I'll listen to Steve Roach to counterbalance the major dm dose (I haven't actually listened to death metal properly in years, which is why I guess it's a thing. It used to be dm all the time, until like 2013 I shifted tastes and have only listened sporadically since then.) Now, I've been listening to a LOT of music in the last several month. And it's such a passion in all honesty, that it is so awesome to see someone actually note that they miss the fact that I haven't been listening on lastfm. That means a lot. Thank you. Now, to sleep! Aah, blessed Steve Roach help me

You can probably tell, I rarely overthink things. It's only somewhat exacerbated by Ignivomous, I mean holy shit those guys are absolute beasts. I don't know what made me want to listen to _the_ heaviest death metal but it was quite a rewarding experience, especially some moments. You just have to put up with the modest levels of aural torture. Noise can be quite a powerful musical instrument. Just not every day :v

I fell in love with "Radio Amor", after "Ravedeath", this album is a fcking masterpiece full of warm, melodic and melancholic sounds. “Song Of The Highwire Shrimper” is the best track on the album, thank you SO MUCH for the recommendation. Now is turn of Echospace :)))

I have more than one, "Wait For Me" by Moby has some of the most melancholic, majestic and poignant soundscapes of Moby's career. [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYZhGhuOt3M]"Solar Walk 2"[/url] by AstroPilot is a true ambient cosmic journey, and "Inverted Worlds" is a truly masterpiece on the album. [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPZiNPkfsgY]"Horse Heaven"[/url] by Lucette Bourdin is an absolutely amazing album covering so many genres of Ambient music, [url=https://chubbywolf.bandcamp.com/album/lhistoire]"L'histoire"[/url] by Chubby Wolf is the perfect drone for sleep and deep meditating, and [url=https://kwajbasket.bandcamp.com/album/the-gentleman]"The Gentleman"[/url] by Kwajbasket, all the tracks by this guy is out of this world, but this album is a masterpiece between drone, ambient and instrumental music. Sorry for my grammar, this language isn't my native language but i'm trying to learn it.

Ah, the relaunched browser. That explains it....Hmm, interesting Burzum query. Is it a trick question? haha It's a tough one. I'm one of those people who thinks that Det Som Engang Var (the song) is one of the best black metal songs ever, plus as far as Varg's ambient outros go, Tomhet is a good one. I guess I'd choose HLTO. What sayeth you?

You should check [album artist=Necrophiliac]Chaopula - Citadel of Mirrors[/album]. Despite the ugly ass cover (WTF?) it is an absolute classic! Feretrum were another great band indeed, their From Far beyond kicks ass.. Btw, you only have enough room in your library for 5 more artists XD

Thanks for the tip mate, that is one beast of an album. Not very easy to digest on a first listen, but quite unique. I'm not even sure how to define its style, some sounds trascend the metal genre for sure. Great production and eerie atmospheres. My only complaints are probably the vocals which i found too buried in the mix and the fact that it leans a bit too much on the technical DM side for my taste, but great album nevertheless. there's probably some obscure Spanish old school shit i could recommend but i'll have to check it beforehand as you also have one hell of a library!

You have no idea how much I miss Surf and how, in some inexplicable manner, it was the hub for both some of the most in-depth and ridiculous discussions I've ever had, even though it seemed to always be dominated by twelve year old boys, and I guess as a result of that, fluffybunny (iirc). I don't know why I deleted the old one, but I thought it was time for a new one. Did you get yourself one of those awesome sound systems/cans we were talking about yet?

Sure, I can always try to come up with a list of recommendations :) [artist]Broken Hope[/artist] - Loathing (death metal), [artist]Amagortis[/artist] - Intrinsic Indecency (brutal death metal), [artist]Macabre[/artist] - Dahmer (atypic death metal), [artist]Mumakil[/artist] - Behold the Failure (death/grind), [artist]Al-Namrood[/artist] - Estorat Taghoot (oriental black metal) and finally [artist]Sam Gopal[/artist] - Elevator (psychedelic rock). These are some of my favorite albums, trying to keep it varied and I made sure you had no plays from them in your charts already. I hope you'll like what you hear. Cheers!

I'm waiting for Exorcised tapes to arrive in the morning, exciting and all. Hm, any recommendations? Who knows, maybe you can check Bestias from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Terrorhammer from Serbia, they are the hottest shit around here. Both bands play some black/thrash/death/metalpunk. Not really deep and odd, but they are really good!

You have compiled such a great list of albums up there in your about me, cheers! I'll certainly try to get some of the ones I seem to be missing. You don't seem like the person to whom it's easy to give out a recommendation, but you might want to try [artist]Funerus[/artist] their album Reduced to Sludge is pretty awesome.

Serbia sucks as a country. I can't order anything from the other countries without getting the bestially high postage. We don't have PayPal and there's always a risk of getting robbed by someone when you send the money in envelope. That means that I'm limited to buying stuff from Serbia... Rarely I can found some killer CDs such as Infernal Majesty's None Shall Defy or Illusions by Sadus and I have about 20 tapes of underground bands. Those tapes are all used by someone in the past, but they are nice things and it's interesting to listen to them. We haven't played live, mainly because the drummer lives about 7 hours from the place where guitarist and I live. Maybe in the future. Hm, most favourite recently discovered release? That'd be new Deathhammer. I've seen Sororicide album in your "about me". I need to get it, always wanted to, but there was always something that prevented me.

There's a fuckload of "metal" bands here, but not all of them are good. The good ones are: BLOODBATH (their 1990 EP is done pretty much in Nocrovore/Possessed way, and their debut is also great, Pestilence/Nocturnus style, my favorite Serbian band), then there's NECROPHOBIA (also great old death metal, they have released one tape in '90, pretty much original stuff). You got old Heller that has their only s/t album in '89, evil thrash, but sung in Serbian. Now, the newer bands. The best one for sure is Toxic Trace (violent thrash with super cool sound in the vein of Kreator, Sadus, Sepultura etc.), Decrepancy (OSDM, the Floridian style), Mološ (the dude that plays drums on Exorcised demo plays guitar and sings here, evil thrash with sound ala Merciless, bestial Devastation era Sepultura and Obsessed by Cruelty era Sodom.... There's also a fuckload of retro thrash bands with programmed drums and shit, they'e not worth mentioning. And also there's a BM scene, but I'm not into that.
