I wasn't sure if I should grant an overview of my favorite songs off Humming, but I will admit its quality does vary a bit per each individual track, so to grant my top five favorite songs, those are "In Between", "House Full of Riches", "A Body Goes Down", (I didn't look enough at your charts to see if you're a fan of him, though in case you are that was dedicated to Jeff Buckley to contextualize who the subject is there) "That Says It All", and "Nothing Special", probably in that listed order in terms of what I like most. If you do only listen to some select songs of the album, I'd definitely recommend those over any others off it. I didn't know if I'd need to say this, though as you're a Beatles fan I think you should definitely like one line within "That Says It All" a decent deal, though I won't say anymore about the song for the time being other than that much :-).

I didn't know if I should make reference to that, but as I made some reference to all of his first five albums but that one, I'm not really sure if "Phantom Moon" is worth looking into at all unless you like all three of the albums I recommended you to listen to first. His friend and playwright Steven Sater wrote the lyrics to that album, and they're so eccentric/personalized that I think it's possible only Sater understands the meaning behind most of them (that's exclusively my opinion of course though, I definitely advise you to form your own if you wish). To its credit it is a decent album musically, though by my definition only inferior to White Limousine of his first five in that respect, so once again you could definitely pass on that for now.

I was actually a little bit concerned that me making reference to not liking Incubus much anymore might cause you to take offense as you seem to like them a decent deal, though (based off what's apparent anyway) I'm glad that wasn't the case :-). As far as Duncan goes, if you're only going to listen to one album by him I'd recommend "Humming". By my standards that's easily his best album musically, and the only album of his that rivals it lyrically is White Limousine (though by my definition that's easily his weakest album musically, so once again Humming is definitely the better choice). The second best choice - once again encompassing both music and lyrics - is probably self-titled. Daylight is definitely his most superficial/poppiest seeming album lyrically, though it's a pretty good album musically so I'd rank that third of what you should listen to. Despite what I just said one of my favorite songs lyrically is encompassed by that album too, which is "Good Morning".

It's a bit funny to me you actually made specific reference to Incubus while looking through my artists. Over the last couple months I've actually debated removing them from my library as I'm not very much interested in them now, though I've played them so many times it just seems like all that time listening to them was in vain if I delete them from my library (I don't know if that will seem like there's no logic to that thought process, though that's the truth to my thinking anyway). Objectively only about 2/3 of my top 15 artists overall deserve to be there now actually. I do like Duncan Sheik for instance too, though having my plays of him make up nearly 1000 of my overall plays when the runner up is less than 300 is also probably a bit of a skewed amount, though retrospect's always 20/20. If you want to get the indication of what my taste is most characterized by now, you're definitely best off looking at my top artists over the span of the last 3 or 6 months for sure.

Hi, I was originally simply going to say hello, though while just making use of a pretty general overview, yours is one of the most eclectic libraries I've probably ever come across. I try to root myself in eclecticism, though I'm definitely most partial to metal over pretty much all genres (most recently specifically power metal if I had to narrow that down to a specific sub-genre actually). I'm definitely impressed by your very extensive taste though to say the least :-).
