hopsan4 thank you for your confidence re collecting Duke Ellington. You should start with the following box set. THE COMPLETE VICTOR RECORDINGS 1940 - 1942. This period was a very productive one, even though Ellington was under a composition recording ban in 1941. The box set includes an informative booklet and the period is covered without any omissions .
