MBV's first album (Isn't Anything) is more straight up shoegaze and 'actual band' sounding than the abstract Loveless. It's more rock than Slowdive though... as you're obviously aware, so very few bands ever get as pretty and ethereally beautiful as Slowdive :) Aching for an and Australian tour from them!

Good lord that that is some high comparability! Maybe the most I've got with anyone... What I'm saying is, you have killer taste!
