Thanks, that's very kind of you. You were very fast since I didn't know anything about their new song. I did know, however, that Sub Pop was going to release a compilation box set containing their entire discography. Yeah, I know: 7K+! That's quite a lot, especially if you consider the fact that most of those scrobbles are from those three albums I already told you :)

Hi, thank you for your interest. Yeah, it is pretty incredible that the band will reform after all these years. To be honest though, I'm not excited/hyped about it because I find the style of the new song to be very post-punk revival and similar to their last two albums, which I am not a fan of. I personally prefer their older, pre-9/11, young, fast punk rock style. My favorite albums are Dig Me Out, The Hot Rock and All Hands. God how much I love these albums! Anyway, we'll see how their upcoming album will turn out to be, if the rumors are true :)

Not really metal, but classic rock as I'd call it :P I have a vast taste in music, as you've probably guessed. I've randomly been getting back into my old heavy metal ways lately!

Well, At The Gates not only got me into metal but also got me into music as a whole. A very important band to me. I guess I'm more into metal than you, dude.

Ha! You're the biggest Marnie fan that I think I will ever know. I'd like to have a weekend with her, she'll be a lot of fun to be with, I think. Plus, y'know, she's hot.

Also, PS: the artwork for "What Burns Never Returns" is my favourite. I have the album on CD and vinyl and the artwork is the best. Somewhat eerie, I think that's why I like it so much.

Don Caballero inspire me. There's something captivating and wonderful about their music. I almost find it "fun" I have fun when I listen to their stuff. I truly love it. Marnie Stern was inspire by them, too :)

That's awesome! I wish I could have the pleasure of meeting her (and watching her perform!) I'm glad you had that chance, man. I love her album "The Chronicles Of Marnia" the only one I own so far, and one I enjoy very much :)

Haha, no hard feelings man. Everybody has their own opinion :) However, the guitar work and the drum work is what makes early Don Cab so good! Maybe one day you'll enjoy them more.

Dude, really?! Hell no, Don Caballero just wouldn't have worked with vocals. In 2008, the newly reformed Don Cab released an album called "Punkgasm" which featured a few vocals, and that album is their worst. I've listened to it fully, and I see why the album was poorly received. Their albums from their debut to "American Don" are their best. Vocals would have ruined the masterful music on them albums, imo.

Well, I'll give that album a listen soon and if I find it an instant classic, I will quite happily buy more of her stuff :) I actually discovered her because she said her guitar tapping was influenced by Don Caballero - a band I happen to love!

I recently bought "The Chronicles of Marnia" from a local CD shop. That was the only album they had, and it was the last one they had. I asked and the guy said they wouldn't be re-stocking any more of her material so I guess I'll have to buy the rest from Amazon. I haven't listened to it yet but I'm looking forward to it. I know the song "immortals" and that's a majestic song. What do you think of that album? :)

There is a bunch of bands I know like 'Seahorse(Kiev)'(post-punk),Plastic Drops (math-non-math-indie),PLEASE DANCE HELL BEAR(math-pop),nousinthis(post-rock),Stoned Jesus(stoner) or Dakh Daughters, but most of them sound premature to me You know, this dude on your pic is our current president and because of him we can be possibly turned into authoritarian state, which is sad..

Thanks for adding me) Unfortunately,I find it to hard to give you recommendations about Ukrainian artists that fit your taste cause indeed top Ukrainian bands sound mostly plain apart from the lyrics, they lack musical beauty. At the same time, there may be some good bands which are unpopular, but I'm not into Ukrainian music scene really to recommend you something.Sorry. P.S I noticed your profile because of your pic and I'm just curious to know if you just like this image or you know something about Ukraine and that sort of things ?
