I was unimpressed by the Kety previews, but Legendary Lovers in full is just ok. I don't know when I'll get around to listening to the full album, but LL might be a nice bit of generic fluff sometimes at least. It's funny that Marina loons think that Kety is copying her when Electric Shart was a big Teenage Dream wanna album.

I hope there will be two more singles before release...there will definitely be at least one in any case. I think it's funny that she has this synesthetic view of her own music; she thought of True Romance as being the colors black, pink, and gold, while this new album is just red red red.

I think this is what her career needs at this moment, to secure her place with something that has a wide appeal rather than go down the left-field electronic direction that she's shown the aptitude for, though the album in full will surely contain moments of that. I didn't expect her to go so stridently disco, though. Them guitars.

Amaze...I love that interview where she talks about people comparing her to M.I.A., and how she views the differences between them. Working in the music industry for so long before beginning her own career seems to have given her such a great understanding of pop music, it's definitely one of the things that contributes to her being such a strong artist. I like it...it's darker and a bit more pained than anything on Flesh Tone, which seems like a good way to go. It sounds like it could fit on current radio without sounding as formulaic as the material that gets playlisted these days.

I think all of her videos have been the cheapest-looking things ever, but it's just so funny how she's mentioned Britney and Kylie as 'influences', but never the Madonna name. And yet here she is. It's like some law of pop physics, that every female pop star will eventually degenerate into a Madonna tribute act.

Yeah, I remember seeing Bad Girls in the Itunes store charts, it obviously gave her buzz of some sort. And the Super Bowl appearance will also have people interested, obviously. Just saw your shout, don't know how I missed it :o Yeah, it's an amazing album, it's going to be really exciting to see her mixing the heavier electronica/industrial elements with the world sounds of her first two albums on the new one. Hopefully it won't be too long until it comes out.

I love the people who are saying "don't be shocked if this ends up being the last Madonna album" and "the best thing for her to do is retire now". Lmao. Wth. And Liz Rosenberg has said "wait until more singleS are released", which is a good sign. This album will continue to unfold throughout this year, and next. Everyone wants everything all at once, but that's what the internet has done to attention spans I guess.

I think the megamix was the three planned singles from the start, but hopefully Gang Bang will get a chance to shine. And I'm Addicted (think of all the remixes that could be made). And I Don't Give A still needs to be sent out to urban stations. I can't wait until the 'net becomes flooded with the tour...since Madonna clearly made the album while planning the tour, I think the tour will take the album to the next level.

Yeah, I wonder if the demo in that form was around before Madonna became involved, or if she was involved in the writing of it before the demo was made. The US opening week numbers for MDNA are estimated at 325-350k. Blowing right by Hard Candy's 280k opening...hopefully the album will go platinum.
