I think it’s really interesting to go to some other city just for the gig. How long would it take you to go there? I’ve never had an opportunity to do this although I’m dreaming of going to some neighbor country like Finland for some summer festival cos there are plenty of them it Scandinavian region and non in Russia. As for Opeth gig, they played in the same old neighborhood I live in, like 15-20 minutes away from my home, lol. the setlist was really nice. I heard they gonna play only melodic song, but they played some death metal songs as well so there were some emotional and some brutal moments

I’m not a rapid answerer myself too, lol. Was kind of busy for the last month. And it’s also end of the summer here when you’re trying so hard to catch up a bit of vacation while the weather is still warm and sunny and take as much photos as you can while the nature is in summer mode. Anyway I think this year is full of anticipations of new awesome records. So many of my favorite bands released new records so far this year. I’m waiting for new Opeth album right now. What about you? Anyway, have a nice day )

no, I haven’t yet. maybe it’s because i started listening to ulver just several months before the “Shadows of the Sun” release and I wasn’t a fan back then, it was just a beginning for me. so I couldn’t compare “Shadows” with other ulver records back then, I simply liked it from the first listening. btw what album got you into ulver?

frankly, i haven’t listened to it yet, i’m kind of waiting for some special moment to feel the right vibe, and sometimes waiting for the moment takes months. lol. but from what I heard this album is really a grower so maybe you gonna like it later. what about Shadows of the Sun, did you like it from the first listening?

I agree with you, 'Critical Geography' is such an interesting name for an album. That kind of abstract title gives tons of meanings so I like it way more then “War of the Roses”. But “War of the Roses”, with its historical references, is quite good too. After all the most important thing in any album is music not the title and I believe the music would be gorgeous

it seems that he’s not coming here, i read that there were some problems with organization of visit. lousy bureaucrats, lol. such a pity. btw have you listened to the new ulver album yet? as for me, l decided to wait till the better quality rip cos i don’t want to ruin the first impression because of the bad quality. anyway, have a nice week ^^

Actually I’m not listening to that much artists every day, I’ve got like 20-40 different artist in my ipod, about half of them are from my top 50, I listen to them in metro and while walking. And I use to listen to new ones via computer and last.fm when I have time, so it’s not confusing at all. What about you?

it’s great to hear that you like Tezuka. cos some people can’t understand his brilliance, they stereotypely think that he was just the man who made popular stuff for children and wasn’t serious artist. his anime were made decades ago so some people can’t enjoy them because they don’t have trendy visual effects that present-day anime usually have. those kind of people can’t even imagine that nowdays almost everyone in anime and manga business using manga system developed by Tezuka. but I am really a big fan of him. he was that rare kind of author who made works in such a variation of genres from fairytales for children to medicinal dramas and si-fi. and of course his shorts. my favorite is Pictures at an Exhibition but all of them are just awesome.

it’s nice to hear that you like Mamoru Oshii, I like his movies too. taking about anime movies with experimental vibe. I really recommend to watch some shorts by Osamu Tezuka if you’ve not seen them yet . I’m a big fan of Tezuka. He was like Disney of anime but also did some awesome experimental shorts like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzutuBbEiiE

I can’t call 'Baraka' a bad movie ‘cos the film itself has a decent quality. but Koyaanisqatsi was like a revelation for me so deep and powerful and beautiful so when I look at 'Baraka' I see just a rip-off. many people around love it, but they usually haven’t seen Koyaanisqatsi. i’ve also seen anime movie called "Mezame no Hakobune" which reminded me of Koyaanisqatsi a lot, in a good way/ I’ve got an empty facebook account for a long time but nowdays I’m thinking of filling it i the nearest future.I don’t know for sure though ‘cos almost everyone I know are using local social networks, not facebook

I’ve finally returned to my normal music listening mode and began to listen to the music I missed during the summertime. I listened to several of your recommendations, interesting stuff, thank you ^^ I just saw on your facebook page that you like Koyaanisqatsi, great movie, I love it too. what do you think about the sequels? how’s the weather in your area? It’s the beginning of the autumn here, rather sweet season with a lots of colours around

hi, sorry for the silence, i was on the countryside and internet on my million years old laptop disappeared for some reason. i returned home just yesterday and now I can write like a normal person. lol. Dir En Grey's gig was great but the audience was rather weird. there were too many girls there and not metalhead girls but fangirls like it was some kind of pop rock concert. there were girls in dresses and high heels, with makeup despite that we’ve got an extremely hot weather here and the venue was hotter than sauna. and girls were screaming when vocalist took off the shirt and not when he made some cool growling. awkward. but gig was worthy, their live sound is rather extreme and vocalist also did some interesting Attila Csihar like а cappella which he never did in albums… anyway, how are you? i heard there was a snow in Brasil. have a nice day ^^

oh i wish it could be like that. you see, i couldn’t go to ulver because of funny and sad coincidence. I ate some canned corn which was in fact rotten. so I’m kind of sick now therefore absolutely not in a condition to go to any gig. at least i’m still on my vacation. talking about vacation, i’m spending it on the countryside again. we’ve got a tradition here and almost everyone own or rent some house with a bit of ground outside the city. you can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacha how’s your season going, is it still autumn or is it already winter? it’s summer here, quite sunny and warm.

hi. I’m not a slow answerer I’m just on my vacation right now and internet here is the real slow thing. I believe there'll be much more good metal gigs at your location someday, ‘cos just several years ago we had lack of them here too. but nowadays the only thing that lack of is money. i wish i can afford to go to every concert i add to my event list but in truth i can visit only one-two gigs monthly. speaking of gigs, yes I’m extremely excited about ulver. It’s like a long time dream come true. and I’ll also see dir en grey this august. It’s really awesome, two of my favourite bands playing the same summer. and only a year ago it was absolutely impossible to see them here. so i think you’ll see all bands you want to see live too, it’s just the matter of time. btw how are you? do you still watch gintama? in any case have a nice day ^^

DSO performance was good. i think their attitude is more jazzy than metalish. there was a funny incident when the cello player lost some small piece of cello and whole band tried to find it with help of the audience and stuff. luckily they've found the right piece and used some sort of superglue to fix it

hi ^^ i was at the Diablo Swing Orchestra gig last week, quite nice show, but the lack of organization sucks, they almost ruin the whole concert with several hours of waiting in the line to enter the area. how's things going with that kind of stuff in Brazil? in Russia we often have at least half an hour of delay before the concert starts
