http://www.last.fm/tag/death%20country It's synonymous with 'gothic country,' I think. Sons of Perdition and Tarantella are what I'm most familiar with, having listened to full works. I'm not that familiar with Hank III but I believe his music is more loosely related in belonging to the overarching genre of alt-country. On a tangentially related note, I've also taken an interest in dark cabaret.

Hi, My names Matt & for the last coupple of days I've been perousing your blogger thing. ITS AWESOME I downloaded soooooooo much stuff from there last night I really love Grouper its always nice to hear good dark ambient music without it having metal influences. But I was wondering since on your blog you say you like to post music that comes from mucisions in the file sharing community would you mind listening to the ep my band did a few months back the mp3s have been on my hardive for a while & I haven't really done anything with them. I'd appreciate it a lot if you posted the tracks on your blog I was only 14 when I wrote the songs & 15 when I actually recorded them so they might not be on-par with a lot of indie music but fuck it I worked hard on it. Hit me up & I'll send you mp3s of the ep & info on the band. Peace, Matt

I'd say yes to all of the above, but I think they have stronger neoclassical elements in the melodies than Nightwish.

@ Toxik sounds super 80s, but also super awesome. How did this happen? Because most thrash of the 80s is brilliant!

Haha, I don't remember where I found that photo, but the fact that it was cracked and virtually destroyed represented the kind of institutional destruction that I advocate.

I recommended them to you because you state you're looking for psychedelic music, and they have a very distinct psychedelic feel to them. Let me know what you think after you've checked them out. And yeah, I pretty much got addicted to Fuckmorgue in the past two months.
