The Cleveland Ohio band Black Death's lone album is the very definition of hidden gem. The sound finds them sitting somewhere between thrash, NWOBHM and Accept's faster material. The production is cheap, but not black metal cheap, more raw and unpolished rather than recorded with a toaster. It's a shame they only had the one album. It sounds like they were still finding themselves and were not far off a major breakthrough.

From the Auburn Records' MySpace: What about the BLACK DEATH reissue? "I ran into several unexpected and complicated delays but finally hope to have it finished and released by the end of the year, possibly even in time for the December 12 show if all goes well," explains Peters. "It will be a two-disc set loaded with bonus tracks of previously unreleased studio material. I wanted it to be done right for the fans. They have been so patiently waiting for its release. There is no way I was going to accept anything less than our usual high quality standards for this reissue. It has always been one of my personal favorites."
