i know a lot of people who were introduced to groovy, soulful and rich strains of french hip-hop with the taxi franchise. the music is far ahead of mainstream english (mostly american) hip-hop that thuds out through normal channels. and although i don't follow french, i believe the lyrics also venture past the boundaries of bitches and bling.
