Saw them last year in Sacramento...20-30 ppl...it was great..they spoke a lot and were very funny. Called out my Talking Heads t-shirt. Played my request for Working With Fire & Steel, which they said they hadn't played in a while.. one of the more memorable shows ive been to. Sounded great too!

Never heard of them till now. 🤔 I’m still questioning about it. I wont judge a band by its cover either

Truly top shelf new wave/synth pop. Flaunt... and Working with... in particular are terrific LPs . Why aren't they better known? I've been an 80's music junkie pretty much all of my increasingly long life, and yet somehow I never so much as heard of these guys till 2019. Same with Japan, another recent discovery. Perhaps my knowledge of this era of music is not as encyclopedic as I thought. I truly hope not, if it means more great discoveries like China Crisis and Japan!

I respect your taste in music my friend! Check out the 1978 Ultravox lp, Systems of Romance. My newest new wave era discovery. Very, very obsessed with that record right now. It's brilliant! From what I've read, apparently it was a commercial failure at the time, the lead singer bailed afterwards, yet it was sneakily very influential in starting the synth pop and New Romantic movements. Gary Numan was apparently hugely influenced by the album.

These are 3 of my favourite early 80s bands Ultravox, Japan and China Crisis. The early O.M.D., Simple Minds, Fixx, Talk Talk, The The are all good choices in that genre. Kissing The Pink may also interest you if you can find the first 2 albums 'Naked' and 'What Noise?'. That era remains my favourite period in music.

All those bands are great. Those early Simple Minds records are dope af! Stumbled across Kissing the Pink a few years back, good stuff. Ya gotta check out Section 25's From the Hip Lp. And the criminally underrated New Musik! Seriously, check them out. The Anywhere Lp in particular. Ahead of their time. No idea why 'Churches" and "While You Wait" weren't thumping in every club in the world in '81. Absolute bangers

Flaunt the Imperfection is one of the greatest albums of the 80s, and sorely underrated. Sadly, I've yet to get around to their other stuff

....... Aparte de ser una de las mejores bandas de los 80s y que tienen en sus venas impregnado el sudoroso olor a New Wave

China Crisis will be playing tonight and tomorrow night (January 21-22) here in Manila, Philippines. I'm so excited to see them again. :)

Saw them play in Douglas last night. Great gig, crappy venue (mock Cuban disco with the band on the dancefloor below the audience - great). Haven't seen them since 1982. Eddie hasn't changed, but Gary - bloody hell. He's become a nightmare cross between Stephen Fry and Paul O'Grady. Dead entertaining, though, especially when he called Boy George a cunt. Cheers lads.

Just can't stop shouting for this band.. They were so awesome; unfortunately not enough people paid as much attention to them as I did..

Hmmmm........interesting tune. I don't believe I could adapt it to a symphony orchestra though.
