although Dark Sun is more pop oriented. This is a fucking fantastic album! fuck what anyone else says. Rory's dad would be proud.

Dark Sun is more pop oriented, following what they've already been doing since the last album. I really wish it sounded more rock like the first 3 tracks but overall i found it to be a very solid album. Is it better than Sleeptalk? Hmm.. probably a few more listens to it will tell me, but right now i don't think it is, but it's definetely an album i see myself coming back to, just like all of their discography.

I love how effortlessly Sleeptalk combines pop and metalcore. Rory Rodriguez is basically the perfect fit for that combination of styles.

Mmhh I think it's unfortunate that they released the two best songs off of Sleeptalk (Crooked Soul, Sleeptalk) in advance. And the rest of the songs can't really seem to keep up imo. So I'm a little disappointed by the album overall - definitely not as good as Dreaming is Sinking // Waking is Rising. On par with Origins I'd say.
