Listening to Migdal Bavel and I'm constantly on the threshold of liking it, but it's not happening. Rapidly alternating between good and bad throughout. I suppose "experimental" fits, which is not always a mark of quality for me.

The new album is superb. The Divine Antithesis is still my favourite (it is one of the best albums there is). Wish it was released on vinyl.

oh yeah and my album of the year. although most of the world into extreme, experimental and metal music seem to think pallbearer is the best of the year. its actually just a really good doom album with nothing new to offer

yes, thats why i put quotation marks. i do enjoy deification. i enjoy it the most out of all de magia veterum albums. youd think that you could have concluded that when i wrote that its his best release

his best, most brutal and intense release to date. just as the divine antithesis was before that. theres an infinity of "enjoyable" music out there. hail magia for pushing extremity to new levels

I dunno, but I think I never have listened to such melodic discordant black metal (or shall I say discordant melodic black metal?). I also do like the parts where he uses blastbeats. those parts have a really special feeling.
