Well, may be this is better in musical way. Maybe you hear more clearly instruments and so on. But when you think about the sound of these 2007 remixes, they don't respect the original sound at all. All the echo, crispness and room is terminated. These versions do not "breathe" and they are more louder (read: more compressed)

It's Jay Beckenstein on soprano saxophone, not clarinet. The fill's pretty random, though... and the 80's-style reverbed power ballad drums actually suit the song in my opinion.
