Great song, this was the point where Clapton finally had SOMETHING to write about again after several boring albums, most evidently August. This along with his 24 Nights live show brought him back to form and it even lasted til about '98 when he went back to shitty watered down pop albums with the likes of 'Pilgrim'.

Bad Love? Isn't that an oxymoron? Is there such a thing as 'bad' love? I always thought love was all good stuff.
