To add to my previous comment six years ago, this album marked Fred's move from the UK to the USA. The first side of the LP was recorded in Europe with European musicians, the second side in USA with USAan musicians. If you don't have the vinyl version, the split is after Norrgarden Nyvla.

Fred Frith - Gravity It is really immersed in spontaneity, fun and free love flying flirtatiously! A great joy to listen to. Harkens to early musics, of medieval, of choral, and even tribal. Makes sense he is/associated with Robert Wyatt, Brian Eno, Lars Hollmer, The Residents, Lol Coxhill, John Zorn, Derek Bailey, Iva Bittová, just to name a few.

This is best heard on vinyl. The two sides are sylistically different, with different musicians other than Fred. Each side gradually builds as it progresses. If you listen to the CD (or a rip), listen only to one side at a time, or take a pause between them. The split is after Norrgården Nyvla.
