I grew up in the 70's, and always loved his music, especially this Christmas classic, but speaking as a parent, Paedo's are the scum of the earth and should be Garroted, YOU'LL NEVER CURE THEM, NOT VERY pc I KNOW, BUT THERE YOU GO.

The persona of Gary Glitter was HUGE, a big part of the 70's glam rock era. He was a fantastic showman and entertainer, and most of the music was foot stompingly brilliant. However, the man behind that persona (Paul Gadd) is a totally different story. His sordid behaviour is shameful and disgusting, and I for one can't even look at the man. But please, let's try to separate the man from the music. No one should feel guilty about enjoying music that was a big part of their lives.

I'm just listening to this as i'm posting the shout and i think it's good. I'm too young to remember him when he was famous, i only knew glitter the idiot until i found one of the various christmas hits albums. This came on because I listened to the song before it. I honestly almost had a dual heart attack when my mam told me who it was. I HATE what he did but i like this song.

Can I also just add that it's farcical to erase Glitter from the history of music just because of what happened? It's utterly stupid that people try to delude themselves into thinking that Glitter was never a huge music star with many a chart-topping hit. He was once very popular so a lot of people must've enjoyed his songs. Now many of these people refuse to acknowledge the fact that they bought his singles by completely ignoring them. It's as if they feel like they'd been tricked or something...
