Adore You by Harry Styles reminded me of this tune. This is definitely the sound he was going for when making his record. This is such a great song, I love the falsetto.

I just found out this masterpiece and as a Gorillaz fan I could only remember Empire Ants, I really think it was some kind of inspiration or maybe just coincidence?
