Gordons echo what was going on in NY the few years before '81 when their first album was released in a repetitive Post-Punk No-Wave kinda way and kind of foreshadow the whole of 80's American noise, post-hardcore thing except they are from New Zealand, not New York. They have been compared to the Fall and some other post-punk bands, but they sound closer to post-Branca. Fans of Sonic Youth, The Dead C and 80-90's noise rock need apply...
