Very sad about this. I saw him twice in college, in duets with Fred Frith and Tom Cora. The show with Cora was particularly great.

Just got the news and I'm all torn up. Salute to a great influence on my life and creator of the greatest instrument known to humankind. A true hero of music. Never met the guy but I'm glad I saw him perform a few times in the mid 90s.
