their fourth full-length album "tavastland" is set to be released by svart records on the 28th of february. first single, the title track, dropped today along with the announcement. additionally humö is back on bass for the new album.

it has been implied by their label that they are to release a new album at some point (late 2024, most likely 2025) and they have played some unreleased material on a couple recent shows. whether the unreleased stuff is old and mouldy or freshly cooked, i guess only stefan knows.

All joking aside, they sound like Moonblood with softer production which I don't mind. The songwriting is stellar and that's what matters in the end.

I'd say it's closer to melodic black metal than blackened power metal, though their music does have a certain triumphant sound. Blackened power metal would be more like Demoniac or maybe the first Wintersun album (although that's as much death metal as black metal).

Agreed. It's an extremely high quality, especially as a follow up to Uinuos Syömein Sota. It's a little bit slower and a little bit more restrained.

Kuuntelin Havulinnan viime vuonna ja kelasin et taas joku väsynyt bläkkisbändi Oranssin Pazuzun jatkeeksi mistä pitäis esittää pitävänsä. Mut Uinuos syömmein sota onkin ihan perkeleen kova!

Sekin on 5/5. Kuuntelin uudestaan läpi ja Verikuu, Vaeltaja ja Myrskynkutsuja meni päivittäiskuunteluun. Vainajain valot on pirun hyvä siltä, yks näiden kovimpia.
