"to have and have not" is one of those films that might be my favorite: its impossibly laden with an entirely mythological collection of 20th centrury icons: hoagy carmichael, howard hawkes, humphrey bogart, raymond chandler, william faulkner, lauren bacall at a scintillatingly sophisticated 19 years old: simply unreasonable.

a little earlier for me. this is a different version, sometimes its 'loco man' but this is like the one i remember growing up, with it being 'opium'. btw, kicking ol buddha's gong: hitting some sweet ol opium. i don't do that, i think this song might be slightly p. in c.
