Flashbacks to age 17, senior year of high school, sitting in my media center, playing this album on full blast on my iPod and writing the angstiest, darkest journal entries. Listening to it for the first time in awhile and it still stacks up for me, despite me not being an angry teenager anymore!

This album is a "filthy mess" but I'm actually beginning to like it. Like someone else said: I have to be in a certain mood for it, but it's fantastic. [3] Courtney's voice at her best.

The guitars on this album are insane— the tone and texture, specifically. Really unique. I've never heard guitars sound like it before or since.

I think it's funny how Courtney hates this album. They interviewed her in the "Hit So Hard" documentary, and she said it was unlistenable and that she made it as a "calling card for rock critics and hardcorers", and so that she could "announce her persona as a cunt". Hahaha. She is too quotable.
