I seen Element support Jimmy Eat World in Belfast years back...they were amazing. I bought their 3 song ep after the show and I still listen to it regularly, the songs on it were 'Running Upstairs in the Dark' 'Take Turns & Lie' & 'Tell Your Friends' I don't think any In Case Of Fire stuff holds a candle to that ep, truly something special

Did these guys support 30 Seconds to Mars on their UK tour in 2008/9? (can't remember the exact year) I'm pretty sure this is what they were called.

For anyone interested, they've got an early album version of a new song 'Burn The Bridges' up on http://incaseoffire.bandcamp.com/ With their first single (a different song, 'Are You Ready?') being a free download at some point.

They've been busy recording recently, some new tracks have been played live (search for In Case of Fire The Reason on youtube) but nothing official yet. Hopefully the new album will be out shortly after the summer.

Anything new from these recently? Haven't had time to check since October.

Yeah, perfectly! :) Muse writes different music and depends a lot more of Bellamy's voice, don't forget that this is the 1st ICOF's album so we don't know what will they bring next...;)

Actually, Muse are my absolute favourite band and I love Bellamy's voice. I think it's because ICOF's vocalist shouts 'cleanly' and doesn't mix up the tone, in a kind of post-hardcore style, whereas Bellamy uses a lot of vibrato and his voice wavers up and down, a dramatic aspect of it which appeals to me more and makes it more compelling for me. Muse also clearly place slightly more emphasis on vocals, wheras ICOF's vocals are slightly overwhelmed by the instruments. That aspect I do like about ICOF- the thumping drums and loud guitars are very rousing. The vocalist can sometimes seem like someone with a loudspeaker at a parade- the experience wouldn't be complete without it, but you're paying more attention to the parade in front of you. Do you get what I mean?

oh, ok. But that is another completely different thing. One is to say that the vocalist has a shouting style (as Bellamy in Muse or Cedric from The Mars Volta) another thing is to say he isn't compelling. He is, just not for you in that sense (which is something i totally understand and respect although i disagree). :)

The vocals are very shouty which isn't my thing really. He hasn't got a bad voice it just seems like constant shouting sometimes.

'Parallels' makes me sad. It's so good. :(

The album is really solid I have to say. The only issue I have is with the vocalist, he isn't very compelling. The music is great though, and the band show a lot of promise. The added bonus is they're N.I. lads! :D

Align the Planets track does remind a lot The Mars Volta, specially Deloused album!
