The first recording of this song (in portuguese version) appeared on a EP released on the month of May, 1972, named O Tom de Antonio Carlos Jobim e o Tal de João Bosco

It's nice, but I agree with bronxboy47. Still much prefer Susannah McCorkle's version.

I agree that this track has a very fresh take. It's clean, clear - very "spring-y", appropriate to the lyrics, if different from the track's tradition. Enjoyable.

I hate to disagree with the general consensus, but the key to this song is its lyrics. Unfortunately, in this particular performance Jane rushes through the lyrics at breakneck speed, robbing them of their impact. I highly recommend Susannah McCorkle's version of this song. She gives the lyrics the space they deserve. In fact, she uses a translation of this song that differs quite a lot from the "Simon & Garfunkle Version" that Jane uses.

Nice vocal technique. She makes rhythmic singing sound easy -- it definitely isn't. I could listen to Jane all day, and look at her, too. ;)
