I know this is the band's most popular song, but the huge gap it has over the rest of the catalog is disappointing. They're still putting out tons of fantastic music!

Boring story: I'm dense, and often don't pay attention to lyrics for extremely long periods of time. I first heard this song when it came out over 15 years ago, and have listened to it on and off pretty much since it came out, and ONLY JUST NOW, in 2015, have the lyrics finally made the gears turn in my head; it's a message I really needed to hear right now. It's funny how it went from a song I'd listen to casually once in awhile to holding a spot on my meaningful songs playlist. haha The end.

Not really. They are one of my favorite bands and I just think they have so many better songs than the middle. “Polaris”, “just watch the fireworks”, “get it faster”, “23”, “disintegration”, “closer” and others are just a few that are better than it. I don’t want to say it’s a terrible song but they have many songs better than it. A lot of people only like it because it’s the one that got a lot of radio play and coverage. That doesn’t make a song good.
