I love the album I was lucky enough to get on Grounation Records in the late mid-seventies: "Life Of Contradiction" (later reissued by Pressure Sounds-who, with and Blood and Fire-and also some fine material issued by Trojan, with much help from the great Noel Hawks, writer of sleeve notes, books, radio producer, etc etc, made many seminal works available again or for the first time.I am blessed to be able to call him a friend. He sent me another copy of "Life Of...", both white label AND the finished article, plus Joe Higgs singles also issued at the time.) My LFM friend VeX08, like many of you (I hope!) will realise Joe's huge importance in the Reggae world and how he has somehow come to be overlooked. Joe Higgs: GENIUS! X .
