Second favorite track in "Night Train". Probably, "My Shadow" is the best but I know, it was so Perfect Symmetry ago. It was part of the bonus tracks for the said album.

Here is the interesting thing about this song...it's actually quite sarcastic. Tom has said this is all about having a very optimistic, excited view about fame and the "Hollywood" lifestyle, only to realize it's false glamour and it can be detrimental. If you listen, the tone changes with the distorted guitar and "I've never seen such beauty, I've never seen such clear skies" isn't heard again. Just something to listen for. In my opinion, it makes the song that much greater

@ timricemorissey: But as "stupid" means that there is a lack of intelligence, I'm insulted to read bands or songs I love are "stupid" coz I read that as me having "stupid" taste and being "stupid" myself. And I HATE being insulted, so yes, you say what you want to say, but I say what I want to say myself and I say the most stupid may not be the one you think. And now you're going to call me "stupid" too, do it if you want, and let's stop those childish games. Btw, if you want to hear a stupid song which isn't, listen to "Stupid" by The Long Winters. Could become your motto, who knows?

@ mands_chaplin: I listened to the Beatles a lot when I was younger and I can tell you I still don't see any similarity between, let's say, Yesterday and Strawberry Fields Forever. I don't know the Smiths very much so I won't say a thing, but Queen did change a lot too. I love The Kooks for example, but I'll never admire them as much as I do Keane coz their music is sooo always the same it's annoying! @ timricemorissey: you have your rights not to love some bands but I find this very disrespectful that you all call them "stupid". First DCFT, then The Killers, and I saw you saying on Amy Macdonald's page that A Curious Thing is "stupid" too. Like it or not, they make music and express what they want to express and they are not "stupid". Release a CD and we'll talk. @ Alice: Broken Toy ftw! \o/ XD

oh and another thing is his voice...he had a really beautiful and emotional voice but now he has changed it and he sound like that jerk from the killers

well two mistakes: first beatles was a stupid band who were ucky that they were the first one so nobody complained about their lack of talent and creativity and second for me Keane is better with an old sound from the first two album because they had emotions that stood them apart from other bands and now they have replaced with a more faster uptempo pop music which is just meant to get in head of listeners so if they continue in this way they will be a good band but nothing special XD

I love every album they've made and of course,Hopes & Fears was amazing, but if they've contuniued doing the same stuff,everyone would be complainig about how monotonous and boring they are. Clear skies is amazing,I can't stop listening to it,love the new sound. So,stop complaining and be proud of Keane, enjoy this amazing music they make for us!

@ mands_chaplin Yeah I've heard that Lennon and McCartney were compared to a saugages making machine for writing that many songs (sorry if it sounds different in English, I discussed it in another language but I hope it's clear), but listen to Revolver or Abbey Road, for example... not much in common with a rather stupid Please Please Me, is it? And back to Keane, they often say it's not interesting for them to sound the same throughout years, and I find it good. Of course finally there might be few people who like all of the albums, but is this really a goal for a good band? They're doing what they love to do, it's clear when you see them live and it attracts much more people that writing Somewhere Only We Know over and over agan.

@ mands_chaplin The Beatles changed loads during their albums! They went through so many different stages! And Queen definitely had different styles aswell so thats not really a valid comment. Keane need to change to gain a broader audience. They have evolved brilliantly I think!
