I get the emails too! I don't mind, as I get to know when the band is releasing new music. It also shows they are passionate about the music and still active despite the whole "no official members" gimmick. If it annoys you, just remove yourself from their mailing list.

I've enjoyed the last several albums quite a bit, especially Deeper Underground. I'm glad that they chose to put some metal elements back in the music. I'd love to see an album return to their black metal roots one day. Or maybe progressive black metal?
