С преждевременной смертью этого неукротимого фантазёра музыка понесла невосполнимую потерю, понятно, что он уже отходил непосредственно от музыкальной деятельности, но сколько всего ещё мог помочь выпустить, придумать, обучить молодёжь - более значимого и влиятельного продюсера и звукоинженера сейчас трудно представить, тут даже Ли Перри уходит на второй план, несмотря на мои личные симпатии.

The King of Kings. This guy released the most incredible collection of dub records in the 70's (dare I say, ever). A real gold-mine for any music lover.

A genius whose influence is incalculable and felt well beyond just the genre of Dub/Reggae. Hip Hop and Electronic music would be vastly different if not for the innovations King Tubby made in expanding the role of the producer in the process of recording music. Beyond just his innovations, though, he was at the helm for a lot of the best music to come out of Jamaica during the time he was active.
