Despite it's length and some dated joints, "Tha Carter V" is really a victory lap for Wayne. After 6 years of delaying and a lot of shit happening between him and Birdman, this is exactly what I expected him to do. Great album!

I feel the dated joints add to the epic scope. like you got songs that sound like late 2000s wayne beat wise and then tracks where wayne goes off over modern beats. its a cool mix that makes this album have a lot of infinite replay value from the variety in production alone. not even mentioning the lyricism which is some of the best of wayne's amazing career
